Doesn't matter,Jaffe wasn't included in GOW2's dev team.So i don't think getting a new guy to get the job done would make much of a difference, now if Kojima san was selling the MGS franchise, that would be another story.

This guy was from Sony, Santa Monica - I think theres some movement of people going on. Mostly from R&D. You guys probably noted that three lead engineers resigned from their positions in developing Playstation in the past three weeks. This includes the Chief Technical Officer and two Executive level Engineers. Whats going on?
It appears to be a "Dumbing Down" of Sony in order to reduce costs and head count. You are probably already aware that Sony recently sold the Cell fabrication plant - but are you also aware that Sony has quit the Cell Joint Venture outright? Today Sony advised the Financial Markets that it had decided to cancelled all R&D funding and commitments held in the former Sony, IBM, Toshiba Cell Processor venture. They appear to be no longer willing to do any development or continue involvement in the development of the Cell processor...
I posted this earlier - but probably in a silly spot so here is the official release:
Sony Corp to exit chip development deal with IBM, Toshiba - report
(Thomson Financial via COMTEX) TOKYO, Nov 07, 2007 Sony Corp, plans to withdraw from its research project with IBM Corp and Toshiba Corp to develop manufacturing technologies for next-generation semiconductor chips, the Nikkei reported on Wednesday.
The move follows the company's decision to sell Toshiba its production facility for the Cell microprocessor, used in the PlayStation 3 video game console, the business daily said.
Under the project, the three companies are researching and developing materials and technologies necessary for the manufacture of chips with line widths of 32 nanometers or narrower.
This project began in late 2005 and is scheduled to run until the end of 2010, the report said.
In addition, Sony plans to cancel capital investments in production facilities for the 45 nanometer or any later generations of the Cell microprocessor, it said.
