Square Enix announced today that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation Portable would be released across Europe on June 20, 2008.
Crisis Core serves as the prequel to 1997’s Final Fantasy VII on the original PlayStation, taking place seven years before the events of the critically acclaimed RPG outing.
The game chronicles the story of SOLDIER 2nd Class member Zack, who embarks with the rest of his squad to investigate the disappearance of 1st classic operative Genesis, in the remote village of Wutai.
“CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII- is one of the most anticipated FINAL FANTASY releases of all times. Pushing the boundaries of the PSP hardware, it offers a truly fantastic gameplay experience to not only existing fans, but new ones as well,” commented Square Enix CEO and President, John Yamamoto.

wow where have psu been on this, nive had it preordered form amazon for the 20th for like a month, game have had it up as the 20th for about a month also :P

actually the europe version is going to have an extended gameplay with a few more places to go than Jap or US. No rush.... only thing is.... jokes on you. The longer it takes EU to complete their version... the longer it will take to get back 97 SQUARE ENIX team back together to begin the creation of FINAL FANTASY VII - PS3 VERSION. No rush eh
