Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for its upcoming Survival Horror title, Dead Space, directed by James Wan.
Wan is perhaps best known for his work as the director of the inaugural title in the Saw movie franchise, and his influence on the following trailer should be apparent to anyone familiar with his work.
To view the trailer, see below.
Dead Space is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in October 2008.

This game is looking good in my opinion. Hopefully EA doesn't screw this up. I'm really looking foward to this game.

Too much hype is too much hype. I am glad they are making this a rich story but they need to keep alot of this contained within the game.

it does look very interesting. I enjoy games like this. Sometimes they are too "cookie cutter" if you know what I mean. You're the last one alive, weird creatures trying to kill you, zombies and all that good stuff. Hopefully EA will make it a little less cliche.

I hope it flops and teaches EA a lesson: that they suck. They're the main "me too" company with sole NFL rights, that's all. Silent Hill(and IMO to a lesser degree, RE5)is gonna rip this effort a new one. So bad, that hopefully it'll make them realize they have no business in the survival horror genre.

I don't really know why, but I got this feeling that this the game which EA can prove itself. If it goes well then they will start to gain more respect from gamers, although if it flops then they will never be able to develop a game that is above mediocre.
I'm kindda hoping it will go well, because if EA can get their quality up in generally all of their titles, we would have a giant developing house which pops out buyable titles every ten seconds!
