Electronic Arts has confirmed that it has bought the European release of Dead Space on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 forward to October 24, 2008.
The highly anticipated Survival Horror outing was originally set to a appear in stores on October 31, though fortunately, the project was completed ahead of schedule, meaning console owners can experience the game a week early. PC owners will still have to wait until Halloween, however.
Dead Space pits players in the shoes of a futuristic space engineer named Issac Clarke, who is a member of the organisation the Concordance Extraction Corporation (CEC) Having been assigned the task of locating a missing vessel in the midst of outer space, Clarke soon finds himself fighting for survival against a race of alien creatures known as Necromorphs in the darkened corridors of the lost craft.
