Following the announcement and debut trailer of Dante's Inferno at Sunday’s Spike TV's VGA show, many onlookers were quick to question whether the game would turn out to be nothing more than a Gears of War clone, or something a little more special.
Fortunately for gamers looking forward to more from this great piece of literature, the game is being placed in the capable hands of the folk behind Electronic Arts’ highly successful horror outing, Dead Space.
“The time is right for the world of interactive entertainment to adapt this literary masterpiece, and to re-introduce Dante to an audience that, until now, may have been unfamiliar with the remarkable details of this great work of art,” said Jonathan Knight, executive producer for Dante’s Inferno. “It’s the perfect opportunity to fuse great gameplay with great story.”
The trailer may have shown very little, but the potential that this story could bring to interactive entertainment is very promising. We'll be keeping a close eye on the development of this one.

My girlfriend has read "Divine Comedy", and when I said, that devs, who made Dead Space, are making the game based on Inferno-part of the book, she said, that they would have plenty of space and opportunities to include as much horror, brutality, gore, obscenity and the like as possible :) She said, that it would be something that no one had ever made before. She believes the game will be even greater than Dead Space. I suppose the rating should be much higher than of Dead Space's :)

I doubt it will be awesome.........not.....well sorta
It will be just another game if they do not use some common sense
I like the menu as hologram idea but then they forget to add in an explanation for all the weapons you are carrying and how they appear from out of nowhere(Same problem for all of the metal gear solid games, except they have many more positives to outweigh their negatives)
The progressive QTE where they allow you to aim and shoot during what appears to be a cutscene is the best thing that Dead Space contributed to video games(the scene i am talking about is when the giant tentacle grabs you)
