Dead Island developer Techland has filed a trademark on the name of Dead World, following the high number of sales that the open-world zombie apocalypse sim brought in.
Speaking with EuroGamer, a spokesperson for Techland has said the firm is "not going to comment on [the trademark filing] at this time."
What do you think guys? Is Techland gearing up for a sequel to Dead Island? Let us know in the comments below.

Wonder if they can make it playable this time?
Dead Island was close to near unplayable.

I would have liked this game a lot (almost pre ordered a LE edition), as it seemed fun like Borderlands (4 character classes, each with a skill tree, lots of different weapons), so I was ready to destroy zombies, but then I read it played like a survival horror, with high difficulty regaining health and weapons that break easily, so I didn't buy it

I really enjoyed Dead Island but the bugs really... "Bugged" me, the autosave made me lose ALOT of progress numerous times till I just got sick of it and traded the game back to gamestop.. I had a lot of fun on the game and the online feature with friends was awesome!! If they can work out the kinks and add more multiplayer modes and features, I will definitely be buying the next installment.
