Sony Computer Entertainment Japan today announced that it would be releasing a new Deep Red PSP model throughout the region this December.

Due to launch on December 13, the new model will come in two different forms, with consumers able to choose from either the Deep Red Value pack (JPY 22,800) or Deep Red Seg Pack (JPY 29,800)

The former will contain a PSP, pouch, hand strap, cloth and 32MB Memory Stick Duo, while the latter will include a PSP, Seg TV Tuner, strap, cloth, stand and 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.

It is currently unknown whether or not Sony plans to follow similar measures for western territories.

Hmmm....  TV tuner, huh?  That's interesting.   It's good to see that sony's trying to mirror the DS a bit with the different colors.  They love that stuff in Japan.
