Delay for Alone in the Dark?

Possible disappointments abound as gaming magazine pegs Alone in the Dark for a much later release date.

The recent edition of the official “Games for Windows” Magazine did a feature on delays and such in gaming, and placed the release date of the title at September 2008. The “official” release date is set in March at the moment, which would result in quite the delay.

For those few patrons unaware, Alone in the Dark is one of the first survival-horror games, and paved the way for such games as Resident Evil and Silent Hill, the former being a personal favourite of one of PSU's omnipotent editors.

Apparently there is no confirmation of the delay as of yet, so you can put down your pitch forks. For now.

    Well I thought this was going to come out early 2009 so this is actually good news.  With the lack of info circulating, did you really expect it within the next 2 months?

    they dont even metion the game EVER... i saw the trailer and it looked like a movie and the music was beautiful and mysterius.. i'll rent it  =]

    ^^^ Thats pretty bad, 2008 ought to be the year they stop putting out games past their release dates. I mean these delays are just pissing people off.

    This game really doesn't interest me,apart from japanese horror games,i'm not into the whole survival/horror genre.
