The only other games I'd like to see rumble on is Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Stranglehold, and Jericho. But I can't complain with this list of past and future titles.

Some pretty big news coming out of TGS this year, and IMO rumble is the last thing I want to hear about.  We all know it is coming sooner or later...I was more interested to hear about expanding remote play features.  Come on with the firmware 2.0 already.

    • 10:57am BST - September 20th, 2007

I thought Phil Harrison said this was last gen?

"We have no plans to do so in the standard controller that ships with PlayStation 3. I believe that the Sixaxis controller offers game designers and developers far more opportunity for future innovation than rumble ever did. Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it's not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don't see the need to do that."

Should have sucked it up and paid Immersion at launch, if they wanted to focus on customers right off the get go.

Thats awesome that R:FoM gets it.....but what about Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Genji :DoTB?...and I guess titles that are far into 2008 will automatically have the vibration feature added to it...like FF13 and White Knight Story. For the return of rumble...I truely love you Sony. Now there is no regret what-so-ever for spending $600 on my 80GB PS3.  RUMBLE FTW!!

    • 12:03pm BST - September 20th, 2007

    Another useless update :(

Removing rumble was a  _good_ idea, I might have to buy a couple more standard PS3 controlers before they all become rumble ones.

    • 12:12pm BST - September 20th, 2007

I'm really suprised at this list. It seems that something was finally well planned out. I wonder how heavy the ps3 controler will feel with this, how much wil this controler cost though? Then again is rumble really needed? Will the standard ps3 contolers still be sold? WHERE IS THE 2.0 UPDATE BTW!! ><

at last only after i spent 200 usd on 4 controllers sony don't treat us like m-soft do there customers remimber ps3 hopefuls meaning buyers are watching.Death to halo go KILLZONE which is exactly were we gone put halo

  37. Alpha2

    • 8:23pm BST - September 20th, 2007

1.Killzone is a 2008 title there's MORE than enough time to put rumble in it's jsut no where near a releaseable state to even worry about.

    2. STFU about the XMB. It will get here when it's ready, stop demanding they magically pull things from their asses, Things need hours of testing and reworking just like Home. Also the Home Delay has nothing to do with Rumble the programers in one department have nothing to do with programers in another.

3.Wesgood; the Statmtent about Rumble being last gen was when they were trying to deal with the lawsuit. If they couldnt get rumble back they were going to have to prepare people for the possibility that the PS3 might never have it so they wanted to put focus on the tilt sense. it's like telling your kids they're getting a new Mommy, do it the wrong way and people just rebell. They had to fight the lawsuit and launch a new system at the same time all he while trying to keep up a strong appearance, and dropping the kinda of cash they did without getting an agreement to continue using rumble would have seriously hurt their position.
