Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has announced that the DualShock 3 controller will go on sale in the territory on April 24, priced AU $99.95.
The company also confirmed that the peripheral would be released in New Zealand on May 9 for approximately NZ $109.95.
Regarding the release dates, a spokesperson for Sony commented, Due to the shortage of Sixaxis controllers, we decided that Australia should be the priority for the new DualShock 3 pad.”
The DualShock 3 will be released in other territories soon, but there’s no dates to confirm just yet.”
A UK release date has yet to be announced.
Stay tuned.

Can someone tell me when dual shock 3 will be available for Europe because saying that SCEE is doing a bad job of late would be wrong since australia are gettin them before us. but why can't they ever have the same rules for europe as they do for america. yes i know that america is bigger blah blah but we in europe are getting the shaft anf have been for some time especially with updates and so forth. so i say this again can someone tell me when dualshock 3 will be released in europe.

I'd like to hope that the UK date is something similar as I would like to have a DS3 for when GTA4 hits but it's looking unlikely now. also, being from the UK I know what it is like to get shafted with everything but GOOD ON Australia! this must be a first for you guys eh? expect a £50 controller when it hits this side of the pond though... guuuh.

LOL why would anyone Pay $100AUD when its around $50 on playasia ?
I think i'll buy 10, sit outside JB and flog em for $75, Sony your a bunch of Wan@#Rs
You cant sell enough PS3s in AUS, so your doubling your profits here, thats what it comes down to. Its about time you woke up, throw in a free DS3 and drop the box price $100, you might sell some more quicker.
