PSU Interviews Bethesda's Pete Hines on Fallout 3When EA signed the licensing agreement with Epic Games in order to utilize their Unreal Engine 3, they brought us Medal of Honor: Airborne and Army of Two with it. Now that EA has gotten a taste of what the engine has to offer, they're looking for second helpings. This has caused EA to extend their licensing agreement and have confirmed that they now have more than five games in development that will utilize it.
"With the largest and most talented studio operation in the world, it's critical for us to give our studio teams the best tools they need to make great games," said Frank Gibeau, President, at EA. "This agreement reflects our commitment to Epic's technology which, in combination with our own cutting-edge systems, allows us to create ground breaking hits."
There are no details in regards to what games are currently under development, though we do expect them to be revealed in a timely fashion. When these titles are slowly named and confirmed, we'll help keep you up to date with the game announcements.

EA is washed up...and so is Unreal Engine 3
Ok they are easily not the most talented and Army of Two was there only ground breaker in quite awhile. This company needs to learn from their mistakes NOW!
EA believe it or not is quite big and they have had some stinkers but MOST of their games aren't bad or are extremely fun. But "With the largest and most talented studio operation in the world" seems to go a little too far
Medal of honor, Need for speed, Burnout, Harry Potter 6, Army of two 2.
I think those five could be these, they should create theyre own engine, other developers are doing the same and look at those games, they look way better then any of the Unreal Engine games. I hope at least one of them is a new franchise and please let it not be the new sport titles they have announced.
The whole point of this article was to get a good laugh from "With the largest and most talented studio operation in the world," right?
Yay! Great work EA. Now you get to disgrace the PS3 with 5 more games using a brilliant Engine, can't wait for the forums to be full of POSITIVE comments (Sarcastically, obvioulsy!) "...most talented studio operation in the world." Lol, that made me laugh, as with this one: "..to create ground breaking hits." Lol, EA, you crack me up =-]
Oh wow... Sorry EA.... but the best game you have had in a while would be um... Rock band, maybe Burnout. but that is pushing it. Work a little harder stop thinking your the best and they might turn out good enough that we will like it.

EA are extremely talented in crap ports, rushed games, last generation technology and overhyping games......but thy do a great job when it comes to money and they are one of the largest game company to do all this......thts wat thy meant to say!!!!
@HazdoTT
LOL... too true...
Oh great, more games with overly shiny charcters/backgrounds.Yawn yawn!Im getting quite sick of UE3 now.
umm... medal o honour airborne and army of 2 are hardly groundbreaking.... and if they are just putting out more FPS's then i doubt ill pick up any of them.. maybe instead of pumping out 5 crap games one after another why dont they focus there energy and make one actually ground breaking game... like say.... MGS4, Resistance 2 , GTA4 , and none of those games use the unreal 3. I can bet that 4 outa the 5 games will be pretty much the same but with different guns and skins...
WTF plz stop using that crappy plastic textured engine. why dont they use crytek engine? it should be ready soon...
hurray. 5 more shooters. yawn.
Give me a break, "With the largest and most talented studio operation in the world"... Ha ha ha!!! If EA thinks they are the most talented game studios they are lying to themselves BIG TIME.
The only game developed by EA that I'm even looking forward too is DEAD SPACE, and that game sure better be good because it's one of the few 3rd party non-exclusives that I'm thinking about buying.
If EA was so talented, why in the world would they resort to using the same game engine for a game? If they were so " talented" they would come up with something different. And something is telling me that the games that they are working on that will use the Unreal Engine will be shooters.

Hold on everyone. Yes, they' ve been talking alot of bs in the past year but they have ran the sports world even if you like them or not. One game I can say has improved is NCAA over the years. I've been playing it since the first one came out in 96 on ps1( some of you were babys back then) but they do hold a lot of ground and other areas.
The Unreal Engine 3 has got nothing on the engines that developers make themselves. For instance, Uncharted uses the Unchated Engine which was developed by Naughty Dog and it's currently the best graphical PS3 game out there. I don't see the benefits of using the UE3 when it doesn't come with features that reduce the developing time of the actual game. Whereas the CryEngine 2 has multiple features such as the ability to build the levels using the Sandbox 2 editor. The level looks exactly the same while playing as when designing and doesn't need any additional rendering or C++ coding (since they have refined it for the consoles). Also it has been customised to the consoles capabilities, meaning the PS3 version have an advantage over the 360 version making PS3 games more unique.
Thats nice !
