Namco Bandai has confirmed that its forthcoming PlayStation 3 version of RPG Eternal Sonata will be released in Japan in mid-September.
Originally released on the Xbox 360 in September 2007, Eternal Sonata casts players inside an elaborate dream world influenced by the life and music of the deceased pianist, Frederic Chopin.
The PS3 release will incorporate a plethora of exclusive content, including all-new playable characters, Crescendo and Serenade, as well as a clothing system, where the player can change his or her character’s costume at will.
Despite its popularity in the west on the Xbox 360, there are currently no plans to release the PS3 port outside of Japan.
Stay tuned.
