In an interview at SCEE's PlayStation Day in London yesterday, SCEE president David Reeves confirmed that the DualShock 3 will be launching in Europe very soon.

When asked about the fact that the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle was being packaged with a SIXAXIS controller rather than the DualShock 3, Reeves responded, “The DualShock 3 launch is imminent.”

He provided no other information regarding the specific time frame that the controller may hit European shelves or whether it would be released in time for the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4.

DualShock 3 has already launched in both North America and Japan.

Why is it taking so damn long? Correct me if im wrong but didn't Jpan get it back in December? What is it, like 6 months later and we Europeans are just getting it? WHY! America have it, why not Europe? You don't even have to translate anything...

I feel bad for our European friends. They have to wait for everything. Sony just takes forever to get ANYTHING done. I guess they just want to unload as much old stock of the original six-axis before they release this??

i've got my dualshock 3 about 4 months ago. I bought it at a Media Market in Switzerland. These japanese controllers are working with the european ps3's. Everybody who wants one, already have one.

Firstly I imported my Dual Shock 3 from Japan ages ago!!! All I can say is I hope the ones they bring out in Europe are better than the ones they make in Japan because the build quality is shoddy!!! The Sixaxis is aweful and teh Dual shock 3 isn't much better. The sticking analogue sticks also hapy with the Dual Shock 3 and they sometimes just stop working for no apparent reason. I paid £425 for a quality piece of electronics equipment yet the piece of kit I interact with it, the joypad, feel like cheap rubbish!!! I hate the nasty plasticy cheapness of the PS3 controllers. Sony need to do better, its basically the same configuration as the original Dual Shock on the PS1. Its outdated and needs to be replaced.

Love my PS3, but hate the way Sony ignores EU. Said it before and everytime something like this comes up, I wonder if EU's loyalty towards Sony is misplaced.

I purchased a DS3 from ebay, and it should be arriving sometime within the next few days. I don't see why we should have to wait any longer. Besides, it's cheaper as well.

Imported one from HK in Feb and to be honest I have stopped noticing the rumble on GT5P and Uncharted, as I have done on all previous consoles, so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.  But I dont agree with bluesudeshoes as mine feels very solid and robust.

Got mine from Japan in December (ebay) cost about £35 including shipping and it arrived 3 days later, I just have not used it cause I dont know how to use it without the instructions in English as its all in Japanese ..... oh wait a minute I dont need instructions....... SONY stop treating your EU customers like $h1t remember we have given you the market lead over the 360
