European PSN grows to 3.2 million users

Sony has announced that European PlayStation Network registrations have reached the 3.2 million mark, with over 57 million pieces of content having been downloaded to date.

The platform holder also unveiled a number of further statistics, confirming that owners of SingStar on PS3 downloaded on average 6.3 million songs from the PlayStation Store.

Additionally, Resistance: Fall of Man has attracted around 1.4 million users to the online portion of the popular shooter, with developer Insomniac Games looking to expand upon this with the upcoming sequel later this year.

Lastly, Sony also revealed that Evolution Studios' MotorStorm has sold three million copies to date.

    Good news for one and all, plus i thought the EU PSN update was pretty good yesterday, you could even go as far as to say its probably the best to date. things are good for all things playstation at the moment!

    Good news but I think the numbers might be wrong. Many PS3 users have multiples accounts and I think they are counting them, making it a misleading number. 

    I personally have 2 accounts. A US and an EU for obvious reasons! (the PSN Store for those who think EU store has everything, I have the Condemend Demo for more than 2/3 weeks).

    @ Neameto They are talking solely about EU PSN accounts and i dont think people have multiple EU PSN accounts, there would be no neeeeeedddd. So figures are right!

    richkaos, I don't think you understand what he is saying. There are probably alot of americans that made an EU PSN accounts which skews the numbers.

    psn id: gingo.... this is actually looking good especially since this is only EU accounts wish they would release some worldwide figures

    Yay! woohoo, congratulations Sony

    Now that you have so many users this might give you incentive to fix the god damn catagories on the PS Store. I can't tell you how long it took me to find something that i was looking for yesterday.

    When Home and In-Game XMB will get released I will be happy with online gaming!

    But when it comes to the PlayStation Store (A.K.A. PSS) the stores are very unbalanced. The EU store dont get the content at the same time as US and Japans store. And the store have far to little material!

    Stop the quality spech. We want material, Give us everything you cant give us!
    We mant tons of wallpapers, themes, demos, games, PSone and PStwo games!

    Listen to the customer! And the customer wants more content on the PSS.

    And I think that the SKUs should stay as they are. I think that the only SKU that we need is the 40GB SKU. Stay with that and start bundle it with DualShock 3 in EU also!
