Speaking to Strategy Informer, Warner Bros has confirmed that it will be releasing a demo of Monolith’s horror sequel F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin in Europe for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live at the end of January.

Sony announced earlier today that the U.S. PS3 demo would only be available to subscribers of Qore.

F.E.A.R. 2 casts players in the role of Delta Force operator Michael Becket, replacing the Point Man from the original game. Once again, players will face the wrath of the mysterious and powerful psychic known as Alma on their travels, whose paranormal outburst threatens to consume the world with her own twisted interpretation of reality. Spooky stuff.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origins is due out in North America on February 10, followed by a European release on February 13.

Wise Idea...with all of the great shooters coming-out over the next few months it's good to see that Sierra is smart enough to release a demo that will show that F.E.A.R isn't an average FPS.

FEAR never was "another shooter", of course if you bought the expansions or the ps3 version then that might be the case. But the original for the pc is one of the bests shooters I own. Hopefully they won't f*** up the ps3 version this time, as it's Monolith themselves who's porting it, I think. I'm quite hyped for this game, and I'll buy it for sure. When I'm finnished, I'll move on to Killzone 2 :D

However, if you live in North America, and are a subscriber to or buy the single episode of QORE, demo will be released in 1/15/09. Jamuary 2009 episode 8 is up in the PSN STORE.
