Ubisoft has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of open-world shooter Far Cry 2 will be receiving new downloadable content later this month.
Dubbed ‘The Fortunes Pack’, the content adds a total of three new weapons for the game’s single player mode, including a silenced Shotgun, sawed-off Shotgun and Crossbow, along with two new vehicles – the Unimog and Quad.
Elsewhere, the content pack also bolsters the multiplayer component, adding four new maps: Cheap Labour, Last Resort, Lake Smear and Fort Fury.
According to the folks at Ubisoft, gamers can expect the DLC to launch "before the end of November,” though a solid release date has yet to be announced.
Stay tuned.

Brilliant, looking forward to that! Really loving Far Cry at the moment, I'm already working on my 4th map at the moment. I really hope more game makers build map editors into their games too.

I would buy this if i still played this...
These new weapons are really cool especially the badass 'no country for old men' style silenced shotgun.

Cool... DLC! Oh wait! The single player is ridiculously repetative and the multiplayer is badly in need of fixing. All they would need to do to make this game actually worth owning is make those checkpoint guards NOT attack you no matter what you are doing/driving or what side you are on... and to actually fix the multiplayer so you can have more than one round per server... and maybe increase the damage per weapon so you don't need 10 shots to the chest kill someone.
