meh......highly overrated but i am sure some people on here will love it. as long as it means more games its all good but i would like to see them do something new than a game i already beat like 10 years ago

by the time FFVII comes out for ps3/psp, the ps3 will have at least gone through one or maybe two price cuts. this game will once again sell the ps3 just like it did for the ps1. don't you just like how sony repeats history.

Sounds more like they're just pointing to the next chronological game, kinda like if Star Wars put 'To Be Continued in: A New Hope' at the end of the Revenge of the Sith movie. It'd be sweet if there was more concrete proof of a remake, but till then I'm not getting my hopes up.

With the power of Blu-Ray....make the whole damn thing into one package. ALL Final Fantasy VII Collections ontol 1-2 Blu-Rays...Before Crisis, Crisis Core, the original, Advent Children, and Dirge of Ceberus. Not to be too hyped, but I would pay $200 easy for that!

Um...Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is a prequel to FF VII. It just means the story continues in FFVII.  I don't think you can say this means there will be a FFVII game on PS3.  That is a bit of a huge leap of faith.

What is so hard about remaking FF7, The consumers have stated time and again they want this game for there PS3. This is an indication that the huge game companies don't really care what we want. If Sony listened more to what we want and focused there attention to it perhaps it would be alot better.

The Producer behind the original FFVII is behind Crisis Core. Still could be a hoax though but a good'en if it is. They would have to finish FFXIII and versus wouldn't they before they could start on a FFVII remake?

Well, since an average PS3 game costs about 105-115 USD in Norway, I'd gladly pay double that for a remake of FFVII..

I sure hope this is true, but I don't think It is... I think It's just pointing out to FF VII being the next chapter in the story. I just don't get square. They've re-released every 16 bit FF they've ever made, because It's easy money, but when It comes to giving back to the fans with something they'd really love, then It's a no no. Now we just have to wait for another SE representative to come forth and say It's a no go again.

I have never seen this picture of Cloud! But if you look at his left shoulder, you'll see that it is NOT the Cloud from "Advent Children". but from the original game! :D YAY!! although this does'nt prove much. let's just wait and see...

I totally agree with Morpheus on this....the game is a prequel ffs, the story continues in FF7. They didn't say that the story continues in FF7 remix or anything like that. And with the quality of the graphics of Crisis Core it wouldn't have been wise to use a fmv from the PS1 FF7, when they have the CG clip of FF7 that they used for the tech demo.

While it's true it's obvious that the story is continued in FFVII, this apparently doesn't show up the the first time you complete Crisis Core, only if you play through the game a second time, which is quite the interesting detail.  If it was just meant for the obvious, it would show up the first time you finish the game, but it doesn't, so it's clearly atleast another hype builder even if they aren't ready to put it out in the near future, S-E is great at getting people excited.

I'll say that if it does come out, it'll be on the PSP. I doubt they'll put so much work into remaking that game for the PS3. I'm not saying the game isnt worth it in any shape or form, because it seems every RPG-player likes it. But I doubt it. I havent played FF7 yet, only dirge of cerberus, but by the hype this game gets, I'll buy it if it does come out.

Look, its not IF anymore, its WHEN. Its been made fairly obvious they're not working on it right now. And how can they when they just finished crisis core and still have KH3 as well as all the FFXIII stuff to do, not to mention all the DS and PSP stuff and Last remnant. S-E is incredibly busy right now and you cant rush something like this, or you WILL **** up. Also, please people..think about it...anime, three games spanning multiple platforms, a movie...and all focused on a game you either cant find anymore or dont wanna play because the vast inferiority compared to its spin offs. Its simply illogical not to do it. Just wait, it will happen. However, I must admit..if FF7 gets this chance at glory, surely some of the others, like 6, 8 and 9 should also get a chance to shine.

I agree with marcelis on FFVII AN VIII being remade FFIX was alrite but those two wuld be amazing imagine areis death in HD or the battle of the gardens!

this has nothing to do with liking FPS or anyone being down on FFVII. like many have said there were better ones than VII and if you thought it was soo great why remake it...it is perfect the way it was. they already have milked that game with the movies and everything else soo much that to remake the game would only be a let down if you ask me. it would just do injustice to the original game. move on to a new game. for people that are soo against FPS some on here sound just like HALO freaks. Some act like no game could be as good as this one. By making this game out the way some do it is just like those that just shout out HALO kills all other FPS. HALO was great, FFVII was great, now lets move on to something new....not rehash the same old crap over and over. The only thing worse than playing an 8 hour game that is repeatitive and the same old story is playing a 80 hour RPG that is the same gameplay and story. but thats just me....i just would rather have something new.
