Having released a patch for LittleBigPlanet and, it's rumoured, begun work on the sequel, UK-based Media Molecule can hardly be accused of resting on their laurels as their PlayStation 3 debut hits stores. The next item on the agenda is downloadable content.

Posting on the US PlayStation Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Marketing Manager Mark Valledor has revealed two new Sackboy costumes - a spacesuit and a Halloween mask - which will be freely available via PlayStation Network on November 6.

He also gave an overview of DLC to come. Highlights include a King Kong outfit and the previously announced Solid Snake and Sephiroph costumes. Not all of these will be free, though - you'll have to dish out $1.99 a piece for the latter two items.

Valledor says you should check back every Wednesday for fresh details.

     @ Randombeef

Why not? It might make people buy it if there is loads of DLC coming out for games. Good to hear I think.

1.99 a piece is pretty steep... .99 cent would be acceptable in my mind, after all its just  a costume in a video game.

damn this dlc. its a good idea, but devs are going to start raping gamers. 1.99 for a costume?? its not even a level. i think costumes should be free as most dlc. (burnout)  the only way i pay for a costume is if theres like 15 or 20 of them. i just hope this trend doesnt continue and soon we will be paying 60 for a game, then all the little extras add up.  i just think as consumers we should be more picky about what we PAY for as far as dlc goes.  if its free support it, even if you dont like it. haha   thats just my opinion

the game is developed in Europe but who said it was actually put on a disc (made) in Europe.  That could be why we get it early, because of shipping problems.

I will buy every costume they put out. I love this game. Plus its the only DLC they can possibly do besides background themes, and music. Anything and everything they could ever dream of creating u have the exact same tools to do it also. They could give out hints and blueprints. lol

I hope other things besides costumes become available. I know it would be resource intensive but things like water would be nice.
