Grand Theft Auto 6 Grand Theft Auto VI Grand Theft Auto VI Plays Best On PS5 News Plays Best On PS5 Rockstar Games Sony

Grand Theft Auto VI ‘Plays Best On PS5’ Message Now Appears On The Game’s Official Site

Rockstar Games has now started plugging the ‘Plays Best on PS5’ blurb for Grand Theft Auto VI on the game’s official site, after Sony had included the same text to advertise preorders last week on its social feeds.

The ‘Plays Best on PS5’ message appears prominently on the game’s official website, notably when you click on this link it’s displayed in the bottom right beneath some art work of the game alongside the preorder option and release date text. It isn’t specified if this refers to PS5 Pro enhancements – a retailer last week claimed that GTA VI will take advantage of Sony’s more powerful console – or features such as Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers. Either way, it’s clear that PS5 is definitely at the forefront of marketing for the game.

In related news, Rockstar Games confirmed last week that GTA VI is going to ship as a digital release at launch, with the physical version of the game – if you can really call it that – only featuring a box with a download code. It’s also claimed there’s no plans to print discs of the game even ‘months after launch.’

GTA VI will ship for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026. The game will retail for $79.99 for its Standard Edition while the Ultimate Edition will set you back $99.99. The game is set in the fictionalised Vice City, which is based on the real-world Miami, and surrounding areas as players follow a crime duo Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
