First Yakuza 3 images surface

The latest issue of Japan’s Famitsu magazine contains an extensive preview on SEGA’s upcoming Yakuza 3, showcasing the very first images of the game in action.

Due for release exclusively on PlayStation 3 next year, Yakuza 3 continues the journey of Kiryu Kazuma, the protagonist of the original PlayStation 2 outing and its sequel, Yakuza 2.

According to early reports, the game will utilize the fictional setting of Kamuro-cho from the first to games, as well as the southern Japanese prefecture of Okinawa.

    Haven't played any of the previous games of Yakuza, but this does look promising.

    but this one looks awesome

    there was a demo of yakuza on japanese psn store long time ago, is it still the same game?

    Nope, that demo was in fact for a spin-off title; Yakuza 3 (as seen above) is the official sequel to Yakuza 2.

    Speaking of Yakuza 2, it'll be out in PAL regions on September 19, I believe.

    I thought I played every game created. Never got around to playing yakuza, will have to look into this.

    it looks like Sega and Sony doing alot of business together. Sega should make Sony Sonics new home base and it would be cool to see a Sonic Sackboy.

    Damn Iam still waiting for part 2 on PS2 to be traslated.

    This game looks freakin' awesome! Although I hear there's to be no english dubbing. I don't mind the dubbing in the first game, but I thought Japanese voice-overs would've been better. Gameplay was good, frustrating at times, but the story was quality. Hope for more of the same!!
