The latest issue of Famitsu Weekly has spilled the beans on a number of mini-games players can indulge in within Sega’s early-anticipated PlayStation 3 brawler, Yazkua 3.
Aside from your bread-and-butter quests during the game’s main storyline, players can opt to participate in various activities including Golf, Billiards and even a spot of fishing down at the coast. It all sounds strikingly familiar to Shenmue’s various distractions, albeit on a far grander scale.
With Billiards, players will be able to select from a variety of rules and pit themselves up against cabaret girls, while fishing allows you to sell anything you catch to drum up some cash, or use them directly as items. The game’s setting of Okinawan, meanwhile, also boasts a sprawling in-door shopping mall, along with a monorail system, which you can utilize to reach the golf course.
Yakuza 3 will be muscling its way onto store shelves in Japan on February 26, 2009.

I sure hope so. Yakuza is one of those titles that makes me proud to be a PS fan.
