Final Fantasy VII Revelation Final Fantasy VII Revelation Story DLC News PS5 Sephiroth DLC square enix Vincent and the Turks DLC

Final Fantasy VII Revelation Story DLCs Officially Announced, Will Feature Sephiroth And Vincent

Fresh off the back of Square Enix announcing the release date for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the publisher has announced that major story expansions are in the pipeline.

The first of these is titled Story DLC 1: Sephiroth while the second is named Story DLC 2: Vincent & the Turks. There’s no further details on what we can expect from the expansions other than the characters mentioned above, but the story of Final Fantasy VII obviously expands well beyond the core game, with the expanded universe featuring the likes of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Dirge of the Cerberus.

The Steam listing for Final Fantasy VII Revelation reveals that both expansion are due to launch between Winter 2027 – April 2028.

Previously, Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, stated that any possible narrative expansions for the game would likely focus on the ‘untold stories‘ of its cast, making it clear the main story will be concluded in Revelation itself. Given the info above, we’re sure there’s plenty of light the developers could shine on both Sephiroth and Vincent.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is pencilled in for an April 8, 2027 release on PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. Players will be able to freely explore the world map using the Highwind airship, allowing Cloud and his companions to parachute down to locations of interest, as well as revisit areas from previous games.
