Recent pricing rumours of the Blu-ray version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue have been deemed wrong by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). The internet had been buzzing with talk of a 45 Euro price, but a Sony spokesperson has stated that the cost of both the PlayStation Network and Blu-ray versions has not officially been decided upon and that reports were "categorically incorrect". He did confirm, however, that they would not be free.
The rumors were sparked by a supposed announcement in a press release by Sony Computer Entertainment Benelux, which covers Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Judging by the way Sony has responded, it could be that the information leaked out before it was supposed to and there is a chance the 45 Euro mark will be the final price. We'll keep you up to date.

Thats nice to here it isnt 45 bucks.
At least they gave us the heads up that it would not be free! Gee... Thanks Sony!
Ok, im may be a little out of touch with this subject, but I take it Prologue is NOT the full version of the game, just a glorified demo, am I correct?
F.Y.I.
45 Euros (European) = 62 USD (American)
psn id: gingo... lol imagine charging full price for really only half a game i tihnk it will be more around the 20 euro mark
it's more than likely that the blu-ray version will come with added features/extras to justify the price like warhawk does. The PSN version will probably be cheaper...so maybe £20 online and £30 - £40 on Blu-Ray...
Guess I won't be playing this game; I'm not paying for a "demo" of GT5.
^
You consider 40 cars, 5 tracks, and online, as well as other customizations, a demo? That's kinda stupid
Bummer.. no free game, but then again I never really expected that anyway - they gotta get paid.
Maybe it was leaked delibrately so they could see the reaction to the price and when they see that its positive, they confirm the price and when they see a negative reaction as that what they did get, they squash the rumour.
hope its less than 45$ for a PROLOGUE
