At the Leipzig Games Convention, Sony announced that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will run in 1080p.
They also confirm that it will allow up to 16 players to race against each other online, and have 50 cars and five tracks.
Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 is becoming the most realistic and detailed racing videogame ever created. With GT5 Prologue already looking incredible, there is no reason to believe this game will be anything but breath taking.
When asked if GT5 itself would support all these features and much more, we were given a simple "yes".
GT5 Prologue is slated to release this autumn in Europe. The American date remains unknown.

So much for all of those saying that the PS3 really CAN'T do 1080p with a very intensive type of a game. If you're one of those....EAT GT5!!! :) I can't wait. People are really going to start seeing what the PS3 can do and we're not even to the 1 year mark yet. Now, if only Sony can get the price reduced further by the end of the year, I think Christmas '08 could be the time period when PS3's start almost literally FLYING off of the shelves!

I dont know but it seems all 360 fanboys are stubborn and wont even look at ps3 cause they know they wasted 400 dollars and dont want to turn over to sony. See I can admittingly say I wasted 400 dollars cause I also decided to buy a ps3 which is the best thing I have ever bought. Even when GT5 comes out they are just gonna compare it to Gears of War graphics which is funny cause thats the only one they can compare but yet sony has well over 20 real breathtakers, ie, mgs4,haze,GT5,etc.
