Haze scriptwriter on PS3 exclusivity

Haze scriptwriter Rob Yescombe has tackled the controversial topic of the game’s exclusivity to the PlayStation 3, insisting that the First-Person Shooter will only be available on Sony’s latest home console.
"Why does everybody keep asking that? It’s a Playstation 3 exclusive. Buy a Playstation 3 and play it. I want it to be the reason people buy a Playstation 3,” said Yescombe.
When asked if the game might possibly come out on another platform in the future, he replied:
"We’re a Playstation 3 exclusive. If by some magical wave of the wand that happens, I won’t be complaining. But we’re a Playstation 3 exclusive."
Yescombe further added that the team have had more experience in working on Sony platforms, and as a result influenced its decision to make the game a PS3 exclusive.
Haze is due out in May 2008.

@ProfSebastian - yeah i dont get that either lol..
but anyway i'm looking forward to trying this game out,people complain theres not many exclusives well heres one here so support it and dont complain untill you've played the thing since i expect the comments will go like every other haze article on the net..

Alot is expected from this game...if it actually gets released in "May"!
But I'm sure it'll be better than Soldier of fortune, The Club and maybe even UT3!

What are they talking about?! ´´post-apocalyptic RPG`` - What the heck?!
HAZE will be exclusive if it performs well on the PS3 (sales wise)! If it doesn´t, it will be ported!! This is obvious! Want exclusives?! Support this game. Buy it, play it, and play online till HAZE 2 comes out.

@taurus82 Its a squad-based shooter, It has 4 players Coop, Online and Offline.
By the way, I think that the Post-apocalyptic RPG must be any kind of mistake mixing the article with Fallout 3

LOL @ the RPG. Haze is a FPS. To be honest I see haze eventuallly going to the crahsbox3fixme in 09. But buy then who will even care? Honestly there are so many games coming out this year and with FFXIII coming out in 09, it won't matter. My pre-order is paid and I'm excited to see if all the hype was worth the wait. Once again to all the Haze haters who post "I don't even care", "They delayed it to long, Im not gonna get it now" please do us all a favor and STFU.

not too sure about HAZE yet although it has looked a lot more crisp than it initially did...i hate to say it but i may have to let this one slip by being that gta4 and mgs4 are coming and with r6v2 and cod4 taking all of my time right now.....

Ahhhh. Haze and the topic of exclusivity is getting pretty old and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. Haze is a PS3 exclusive and that's the bottom line and I'm going to get it as soon as it comes out.
However, I have one little problem. Whenever I go to Gamestop.com and I go to Haze, it is listed as a PC game also..... so.... I wonder how that is going to be explained. Maybe it was a mistake or something on the website, who knows.

Thanks for noticing the mistake; the article has been edited. I somehow got mixed up with Fallout 3 and Haze. I apologise about that - I must have completely zoned out, since I had Fallout 3 on my mind after viewing some new screenshots,

Well, how much people from Free Radical have said this already, yup, that`s right 360 owners, you wont be getting this game unless you own a PS3. I know Ubisoft are publishing it but they cannot force Free Radical to port the game, so suck it up 360 owners, HAZE IS A PS3 EXCLUSIVE! =-]

'Buy a Playstation 3 and play it'??? One problem with that, its not available and has been back dated so many times that ive lost interest.
From what ive seen Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 look a lot better than this!

Why do people care about looks of a game so critically? From what I see the graphics looks good enough to be acceptable. Not every killer game can look just as good. Or does everyone take graphics over gameplay?

Got to love the writer saying he wants it PS3 exclusive. Also, if the team dosn't have much knowledge of a 360, it makes this a near-definite exclusive(or at least only good on the PS3).
