High quality FFXIII in-game scans

Japanese-based Famitsu has finally delivered the goods on Final Fantasy XIII. After years of sitting through CG trailers, screenshots of those trailers and tidbits of information here or there, high quality shots of actual in-game footage has arrived. We can't post the full scans for your viewing pleasure (though we'd like to), but we will give you a taste of what was included within the covers of the magazine below.

i hate how all the numbers randomly appear around the contact area, it makes the game look shoddy.

@1 that's where they are most likely to come from ... where would you put them? Look fine where they are ... don't forget that these are still images. Vs is looking better though

Shame RPGs don't appeal to me, why can't there be anymore platform games RPGs and shooters are boring

I cant wait to see these battle shots in motion, just thinking of how its gonna simulate the speed seen in advent childrens battles is mind blowing XD I definately have greater hype for this game over versus now, mainly because we finally have gameplay shots ^_^

Still i'm not buying FFXIII and what ever happened to FF needing a lot space? back when N64 and PS1 was out FF wasn't out on the N64 because they said the cartages didnt have enough space on them. And now with blu-ray having about 10x more space than 360 DVD's where else PS1 CD's having 10x room than N64 cartages WTF?

Looks unbelievable. I mean beautful. I'm also much more interested in FF Versus XIII, but FFS I'm sucking up every bit of FFXIII I can get.
Edit: Raulund, that's no reason to let yourself miss out on such a great title as FF XIII. Seriously, it's going to be a lot later and obviously downgraded from what it WOULD have been, but why let that stop you from experiencing something great? There's been a bunch of awesome multi plat games this gen, why can't FFXIII be one of them? Because Sony let it go? While I agree with their strategy in only focusing on first party, it's still THEIR FAULT FFXIII was lost, whether they were right in doing so or not.
Obviously this title never had as much going for it as Versus in the first place, Versus being from Nomura and being the first 'M' rated Final Fantasy and such, but why let that stop you from having this fantastic experience just because you like Versus better? It's a new experience either way.
Again, just take a look at those scans up there and tell me that doesn't look fantastic.

Wow, it's looking really good. I plan on pickup up both 13 and vs. Why not, they are both going to be great. 13 seems more my style, but I will buy both. All the fanboys refusing to buy 13 just because it's multi-platform are ridiculous, and only makes Square glad they went multi-plat. Makes me wonder if these people were FF fans to begin with, and are buying VS because it's a PS3 exclusive, regardless of 13 looking amazing as well.

That is one messy GUI. I hope they fix that for the EU release. Half the screen is taken up.

Its looks cool. But not enouh to say yet. Not until i see some detail gameplay videos of the battle system. Anyone judging yet, stfu. It is going to be turned based, just with improvisions. Also whoever said ffx batle system was best is a moron. It was the same turn based as before just small improvisons. It what they always do. The only exception if ff12 which was i think like a trial thing. Obviously they realized it phailed...
