Eidos has divulged what their Highlander project is all about. The game will be developed by Widescreen Games as for the PS3, 360 and PC game versions.
The actual story is a third-person action adventure that spans over 2000 years, giving you a chance to explore all the biggest facets of history that you didn't pay attention to in high school. You know. Feudalism, Serfdom, even some critical moments of history are revealed in this game---such as Hindenburg.
As Owen Macleod, the player will journey around the world and be able to battle many immortal foes through the use of a spectacular variety of weapons and natural abilities.
Not only is Widescreen Games promising a historic adventure filled with expansive environments, but also promising around 18 missions excluding additional areas to explore.
We here at PSU definitely think this title will be a hot seller, and will bring you more details as we learn them along the way.

hahaha yes! highlander used to luv the movie when i was younger plus the main character is scottish :P! sounds intresting will look out for more on it!
luv the movie. sounds good
psn id:gingo.... i loved this movie but not as much as braveheart =) this game sounds interesting tho
The series and the movie were both excellent. Now, if the game intro'd to "Princes of the Universe" by Queen, that would be the icing on the cake. Oh, and real gruesome blood for the beheadings.
hope the game is as good as the movie
lmao thats awesome! THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE HIGHLANDER
They'd better license music by Queen! But this game has a ton of potential. Getting to fight through different centuries and having awesome swordfights with bosses would make this a 'must get' game.
"Here we are...Born to be kings..."
Love that soundstrack, fingers crossed the game turns out alright 'cause lets face it, when as a game based around a movie of any sort (even ones just set in the same universe) ever been any good? not too often...
"Are the shtarsh jusht pinholsh in the curtain of the night? Who knowsh, Highlander?"
They'd better get Sean Connery to do some voice overs! Haha fricken sweet.
Oh yeah.. okay, never really been a Highlander fan but it's definately worth a look at when things get a bit closer.
I doubt the whole sound track will be Queen but the Theme song has run through all the movies I believe as well as being an integral part of the tv series. I havent seen the anime movie yet but I bet it's in that too. If Widescreen has any sense or if they're fans of the franchaise even slightly, then they know they need at LEAST that song.
