From May 14 to May 21, the exotic 'Chamber Apartment' will be available as a free download within PlayStation Home, reports Joystiq. After that, it will become premium content -- which means it will carry a price tag -- so be sure to snag it before that happens. After all, who can resist the expression of that beautiful tree-monster?

I've been on Home once since KZ2 has come out....I just don't feel drawn to it anymore...kinda just feels like a novelty thing now IMO

"i dont see the point of home anymore..."

Home is fun lately, why isn't there any news about 'the hub and XI..." ?

the point of Home is to meet other players, its a way for Sony and other companies to advertise, a way for you to know more about games and sometimes movies in the theatre and to have a lil fun specially on Xi

So since PSU mainly covers US news, this is only for PlayStation Home US?

Looks kinda cool. Too bad home sucks. Honestly its only for dudes who can't pick up women in real life.

its an advertising space everyone stop having a cry about it and ill agree i dont go on it regualrly but they have alot of minigames that used to be disked based games on ps1 and ps2 like bowling and poker and it gives updates for new games and advertisements also some giveaways like killzone 2 beta in america whilst i was playing demo over here in aus

  19. Seraphic_Sixaxis

    • 9:01pm EDT - May 8th, 2009

Well since its free guess i'll take it, after that thogh won't be loggin on to home in a GOOD long while. until it gets some better spaces anyway.

If home didn't make you wait in a realistic line to do everything I might enjoy it. I mean cmon a line in the virtual world? What are we savages?

Since when has PSU only been about the US? as many Europeans show up on the forums and how many stories come out here about EU devs and EU content? sometimes I have to wonder if the next story really IS about northamerican content at all. As for the idiots complaining about home, you clearly never had the brain power to understand the point of it so just stop posting, It's not taking anything away from you for it to exist, you never have to even activate it so just STFU.

With that said, No, I dont see the point of this new space either. But hey It's free so the last thing I'm going to do is complain since I clearly have a mind more intelligent than that of the turd brain idiots who continually rip on something they dont like because it scares them.

i cant log in this s*** home since april, it give some error about downloading content.

    And i dont care.

    • 5:52am EDT - May 9th, 2009

Ah man, is it not for EU then? I only like playing Chess on Home, but sometimes that gets boring.

  26. Strudel

    • 7:44am EDT - May 9th, 2009

I hardly ever go on home (once a month) and when I do, I just download and visit anything new, look at any content I unlocked through playing a game (RES5) then log back out. Perhaps this content is to get people like me to login again.

  27. Overcast

    • 10:23am EDT - May 9th, 2009

A lot of people complain way too much about this. I'm not Home's biggest fan I'll admit that but you don't even have to use it.

  28. Brokentusk81

    • 10:33am EDT - May 9th, 2009

Home was soo hyped i guess is the problem. Its just didn't turn out to be cool. Its nothing like RPGMMO in the sense that you have a purpose and shared interest/goals w/ other people. Home feels really contrived. "C'mon everyone - lets login to home and stand around and solicit pretty avatars (who are probably dudes anyway)" . . .  fun

  29. LibertyCap89

    • 12:13pm EDT - May 9th, 2009

At least they're giving away free stuff. Nothing to complain about, and you can play chess in it with a friend (I don't have any with a PS3 but hey, it's still fun).

So what! It's not going in the right direction, its's going in the same direction the Wii is going.

@ 12 and 16 I'm with you. Even if you are not interested in it, Home is a pretty cool freebie that the other systems don't have. My 5 year old son and I have been working on this Xi mystery for over a month now. If you don't know what I am talking about but are still complaining, shame on you. It is the complete opposite of the "bland living ad space" stuff some of you keep talking about, and it is actually for the more hardcore gamer. If you don't believe me, try getting all of the fragments and butterflies without help.

Can we pleas stop complaining about HOME. you ;like it or you don't like it simple has that

  34. Brokentusk81

    • 9:28pm EDT - May 9th, 2009

I only have time to game like 5-10 hours a week. There is no f 'in way I'm going to walk around digital courtyard and 'dance' or 'play chess' or 'listen to female avatars fend off male stalkers.' I paid 400 bucks for this machine.

Id like it more if it was more like habbo hotel.  Where you can go to different places (loads of them, bars, cafes, swimming pools, fast food outlets, games rooms) and do more habbo-ish things.
