How to score in Grand Theft Auto IV

(continued from previous page) ...this liberated woman as well. Show up in something exotic like a Turismo in order to get some action once you get her home. Showing up in Roman’s Cab will probably get you the stink eye and a sarcastic remark that’ll make you want to just stop the car, pull her out of it, slap her around with a bat for awhile and then pop her in the kneecap (We don’t condone beating women, but we understand there are exceptions). When it comes down to not throwing her under the Taxi beside you, you’ll find that Alexandra enjoys taking part in any venue activity and any show. Unfortunately, even though she enjoys the activities like bowling, darts, pool and the strip club, you’ll quickly find out that she hates losing. If you beat her in three of those activities, all you’ll hear is more constant complaining, which will probably result in you beating her to death (again) and having to redo the date.
Once it’s time to take this vixen home however is when it matters most and makes the entire date worthwhile as Alexandra is without a doubt the kinkiest chick out of the bunch. She loves when you do naughty things to her and she’ll let you know it too.

Carmen Ortiz (SoBoHoe)
You’ll run into Carmen on Love-meet.net under the name “SoBoHoe.” She’ll be available to date at the same time as Liberated Woman above, as will the majority of your Internet dates. When you first hear Carmen talk you’ll instinctively get excited expecting some hot salsa lovin’ – unfortunately, however, it falls short. Her dialog may be sexy while combined with her fiesta accent, you’ll quickly realize that Carmen is beyond needy. You may be conflicted to keep her around though as her specialty bonus of being able to heal you when you call her is a nice thing to have; however, it almost cancels itself out with the constant calls of her complaining about her job. We kill people for a living and she’s crying about the difficulties of her job? Woman, please.
The girl isn’t picky though and she’ll welcome Niko into her life while he sports some mid-level Modo apparel. She also won’t complain if you show up in some high-end Perseus either, but regardless, she’s much more affordable than Alexandra when it comes to clothing requests. If you’re into the Latina vibe, this is your no. 1 girl for the rest of the game as nothing can beat the loving affection of health and the constant complaining about life.
Much like her style for clothes, Carmen will also allow you to pick her up in some guy-next-door car models. You won’t have to worry about cruising around for an Infernus to send this girl into a hot spell. Show up like a soccer mom in a minivan though and you may have to prepare yourself for some digs at your pride. If the phone calls about her work weren’t enough, she’ll spend the majority of time in “your” vehicle moaning and complaining about it as well, so expect an ear full. If you get tired of it, just run the car into a wall or oncoming traffic a couple of times, it’ll change her mood real quick.
You’re probably wondering where to take Carmen since GTA IV doesn’t offer a Taco Bell, well that’s cool because Carmen really isn’t into eating. If there is one thing that will make Ms. Ortiz more tolerable, it’s alcohol. Carmen loves to drink, bring her to any bar and you’ll be set for the night. We’d recommend taking her out to Jerkov’s, not only because it’s a classy joint but because it’ll set the template for the entire evening. She also won’t mind going to a show, as that will score you some hefty respect as well.
A big concern is not to kill her on the way home if you’re choosing to drive drunk; a dead Carmen may be a quiet Carmen, but it makes it a lot harder to score…legally.

Kiki Jenkins (LawChick)
Love-meet.net leaves all sorts of women at your disposal, including LawChick, some University of Liberty City law graduate who doesn’t need to see you running over the closest pedestrians on the ... (continued on next page)

Wow!!!! Too much to read about scoring!
Better spend my time scoring in real life!!! (lame joke, I know)
On the topic, I still dont get caught in the GTA hype. I´ve played the X360 version on Gamestop and after 5 minutes I got bored! I know, I wasnt even trying to catch the story (or multiplayer), just some mindless car crashes, pedestrian runovers and getting the cops to catch me. It still doesnt do it for me. I still dont like the gameplay mechaniscs. CoD4 gives me enjoyment even though I repeatdly play over and over again.

I was soooo hyped for this game. When i first played it i was blown away ....but honestly for some unknown reason it's just not doing it for me anymore...its like im forcing myself to like it more then i really do....its nothing compared to the feeling i got and continued to have while playing C.O.D.4 ....and i was way more hyped for GTA4 ....
oh and by the way i know they're different games....i like both styles....so comparing the two in my case is justified.
and the CHASING people down missions ...OMG i wanna efing kill someone when they get away and you have to start over.....

Lol, I was able to get some after my second date with the first girl! I guess I just have skills.
Edit: PSU banned me for saying her name. This game is becoming more fun the longer I play it.

I agree with you about the underwhelmingness of this game. Yes, it is pretty. And yes, the mechanics are greatly improved. But I would argue that there is not enough to do.
I am a fanboy, but this statement is not because of it: The game is suffering from being multiplatform. There are so many hings left out because there is not enought space. There are only a few outfits. There is no property to buy(which is annoying when you want to save). There really is no point to having money. You keep all the weapons you have when you die and rarely will the police bust you over killing you.
There is just not enough balance, it almost seems like a test. Vice City and San Adreas were the same as GTAIII, but with more stuff. Imagine 5 times more space on the Bluray. I am willing to bet that GTAV (which is already being cooked up) will be exclusive, and it will feel more rounded. I'm already bored with GTAIV.

I agree with you bouth (Totally Twisted & infernaut). I was really hyped for for this game before and during release. I played for about 4 hours and lost interest. All I do no now is plug in the cheats & blow up/shoot everthing in sight. Oh Yeah, and the vehicles are pretty cool too (with the cheats). **SIGH** I will still play COD4 and Rock Band more. That's pretty bad, These 2 games are a lot older yet I still enjoy them more that GTA4.

This is kind of a *spoiler*, not that it totally gives away any major point(s) of the game, but you guys (PSU) might want to consider putting a spoiler notice into stuff like this. People may want to figure these types of things out on their own. Funny stuff though :)

Please don't get on my case for asking this, but is it possible to date guys? I tried to date some marked as "gay' but they all respond with "not interested". Is this at all possible? I figured you could kinda do this in Bully, so it's a little disappointing that so far I can't seem to do it in GTA4.

@chawknz: Nobody should make fun of you, but at least you'll know who all the mature people are here. I think RockStar had enough to worry about with other features getting bashed by media that they didn't need to hear they were promoting gay sex.
---
From what I've heard, GTA IV looks nice but San Andreas was much more fun. I hope I'm wrong when I pick up my copy.

GTA4 is a great game. I am not gay but to be honest with you I think it would be funny to see them promoting gay relation. The way the game is set up with dates and junk is you gotta build up trust and get to know the person then you get to do the deed. Same way gay people do it too. I dont see why they shouldnt of added if and if you want your guy to be gay he should be gay. I really think they just need to let everyone free if a guy wants to marry a guy let them do it the government shouldnt bash on a game since there expressing their views on gay relations threw a game.

Well I'm enjoying this game ALOT. I do think that if this was a PS3 exclusive we would have seen more things added to the game (like more interiors etc).
One thing I'm confused about with the dating is, when you finally get lucky with the girls on the uncensored version do you only see the apartment from the outside like in San Andreas? Or is it like in this pic :
