If you are one of those people who can't quite bring themselves to play Resistance: Fall of Man again, there will soon be a great incentive to do so. Insomniac just released a patch for the game that adds certain features to the game as well as enhancing the overall experience. The list of updates in the patch is as follows:
• Ability to take screenshots in game using a USB keyboard.
• Weapon balance changes and new round balancing options.
• Dual Shock 3 support added for online AND single player.
• Password protected custom games.
• Numerous bug fixes.
All of those are welcome additions. It suggests that developers and publishers alike will continue to support their games, even a full year after their launch.
Resistance: Fall of Man was known primarily as the PlayStation’s flagship launch title back in November 2006. Taking up an alternate 20th Century where World War II never existed, Resistance became well known for its unique style of story-telling, gameplay and variety.

You guys will think I'm weird or crazy, but I've never played this game online. Got it last December, most of my household (including me) has played through it a couple times, but none of us have taken it online. Maybe now's the time to try it out since we've got this patch?

I'm still waiting for the price to go down. NFS Carbon came out the same time and its $30 for a new copy, so why is RFOM still $60? Beyond me.
