Japan gets hometown discount for Resident Evil 5 DLC

If you happen to be one of our readers who are already displeased with the fact you'll have to pay an extra $5 to get the entire Resident Evil 5 experience, this news probably isn't going to make that feeling any better. According to Andriasang, Capcom has revealed the dating and pricing for the "Versus" DLC for Resident Evil 5 in its home country of Japan. Scheduled to release on March 26, the Versus content will retail for ¥250, which is roughly half the price of what it will cost gamers in North America.
It's only natural to assume that North America should expect to see the Versus content around the same time frame. This gives you something to look forward to if you're planning to purchase it. However, we're sure everyone would love to know why the price differential is so severe in comparison. Maybe only North Americans are susceptible to the worst cases of the nickel-and-dime syndrome.

i finished the game yesterday......................its pure action...where is the horror......u even play most of it in day light....and what is going on with additional payments... we already paid 60 $ (in my case i paid 100 $)...and now 5 $.....its nothing...but I DONT HAVE CREDIT CARD...WTF

i been i big fan since way back and i ilove were reident evil is going capcom says they are going to change again for part 6 am sure this one is gonna be in tokyo i would hope so just so that the live action movies are on the same trail as the game and 5 bucks is nothing lets go add me if u want psn id is cory2912 always on

Well maybe if the numbers come out strong for this game in NA then Capcom will cut the price for us. You never know.

Wait until you see the price they charge in the UK before you start complaining about the US price. If you ask me the UK gets shafted on all PS3 games.

I am really happy with residen evil 5, really amazing game. Hmmmm a 9.1 - 9.3 review in my book, being that quite good for me XD. It has tons of things to make you come back, really high replay value. Well now back to the forum hehehe I really believe devs are taking to much advantage of the DLC rushing sometime games and throwing in patches to fix it later and now throwing in DLC that should have been included in the game to make up extra cash. I bough the game for $3 (and three days before release date) hahaha cause I traded a ps3 game and some psp games XD still hmmm i am not going to get this mode it should have been included in the game (and not buying it is saying to the devs "you know where you can put it", be fair with your fan base) plus the game mechanics doesnt allow you to have a good vs match at all.

This is just stupid milking. Every game now has dlc, but that should be only content what was not been able to fit into disc. Clearly this just "unlock code" you will download. This is a neat trick for companies to do, because if people have already bought the game and valued it to be $60, but afterwards you find out that you will have buy more things to get full gaming experience.

haha. i beat the game on wenesday night after i ge=ot it at the midnight release. it was ok, it was not epic, 99.00 for the collectors?? that game is no MGS4! no gameplay at night to make it even an ounce scary, just like re4. angry farmers who are mad at you for eating there chickens. NO THERE NOT ZOMBIES!! please. bring resident evil 5 back to it's roots. fast and slow zombies. seriously, i think this is the last resident evil game. sorry capcom, if the next game doesn't give me the tingley feeling that MGS4 gave me, i'm not buying your lowly rated game. i give it a 3 out of 5, good graphics, but horrible gameplay and story. ::::hides my 60.00 for Metal gear 5::
