Killzone 2 demo coming to PSN prior to launch

According to Killzone 2's game director Mathijs de Jonge, Guerrilla Games will be releasing a single player demo of the hotly anticipated FPS prior to the game’s release on February 27.

"A playable single-player demo is in the works and will be released prior to launch," said Jonge in our exclusive Killzone 2 interview.

While a demo has already been confirmed for release in the U.S., it is believed that it will not be made available until after the game's release unless you pre-order the title from Gamestop. As de Jonge neglected to specify which territory he was refering to in our interview, there is a possibility a demo may see a general release in North America prior to the game's release.

We are checking in with our Sony representative now for more information.

    I'm sure he just meant the GameStop and Euro demos already mentioned.

    yep EU demo ha ha hope its region locked aswell so our Store dosnt crash when it goes live

     Again, it's stupid that in order to get a demo, you need to pre-order the game. The whole point in the demo is to decide whether to buy it or not! It defeats the whole purpose!!

    Why don't they ever do multiplayer demos?  THEY SELL MORE GAMES!  Seriously, the main reason I usually buy a game is because it's multiplayer and my friends get the  game and we all play together.  If I get a multiplayer demo and my friends do too, and we all like it, we'll each buy a copy of the real game.  A game might have really good multiplayer, but we don't know because they only release a singleplayer demo that didn't seem that much fun.  Still, we'll all probably get this game :)

    bnolan56 i agree with you it looks like my girlfriend can get the game 5 days prior to release so i won't use my preorder ... i might turn arround and make it re5 pre order.
