Electronic Arts confirmed today that Skate 2 is currently in development for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The original Skate was developed by EA Black Box and released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2007. It outsold rival skateboarding title and past genre king, Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground by 2 to 1, which has caused Activision to rethink its strategies by revamping the series in order to reclaim the digital skating crown.
EA hasn’t revealed any additional information about the game, thus we can’t provide an estimated release date. When we hear more about Skate 2, we’ll let you know.
