Kojima hinting at MGS5?

Oh Mr. Kojima, why do you do this to us? At Tuesday's Metal Gear Solid 4 press event in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills, the Kojima Productions team left those attending the event with a small audio clip that has spread like wildfire across the interenet about a possible sequel already in the works for the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
The audio clip featured a conversation between Revolver Ocelot and an unknown character, with only Ocelot's side of the conversation presented in the clip (with subtitles shown on the screen). Mark MacDonald, from 1UP.com, provided the translation of the subtitles to English:
[Ocelot's voice]
Yes.
We just finished the press conference.
Yes.
Everything went according to plan.
Yes.
We're entering into the last phase of the mission.
Do you want to execute the launch day surprise?
Yes, that's right.
Akihabara, New York, L.A....
Live, simultaneously throughout the world...
Yes, it's under control.
The VIP's are happy to participate.
Yeah, that's right.
That person.
Yes sir, understood.
So on June 12th...
By the way, what should we do about "The Project?"
Yes, that's correct.
That man has fallen.
It's about the sequel.

This can be taken a whole bunch of ways but the first thought to mind (as the conversation clearly states) is that of a sequel to MGS4. Although there is no telling just yet, its likely that the conversation partly refers to the planned launch events and creator Hideo Kojima's world tour, both of which were discussed at the event. I guess we are all left wondering until June 12.

I want to hear this too! If they make MGS5 maybe it wont be done by Kojima or maybe its about Raiden or someone else since snake is going to die. I mean even if he doesnt kill himself or get killed, FOXDIE is going to kil him at some point. or maybe a clone of him, a new snake.

mgs5 or not mgs5, that is the question! look's like we won't know for quite a while, we'll just have to enjoy mgs4 in the meantime!

Reading that reminded me of the end of the tanker mission in MGS2, and the end of MGS:Portable Ops. Ocelot is always talking to some random, nameless, faceless, voicless person at the end of the games. Makes you wonder who's pulling the strings ;)

if there is going to be a sequel then i dont think it will be a true sequal more of a spin off to an event that happens in the 4th one, sequal or no sequal i am not bortherd about it the now,am more focused on the one that coming out in a few weeks!

damn you! why is he doing this?!! the game MGS4 isn't out yet. he's going to kill me. i want there to be a sequel. but, if it take about the same amount of time and with delays omfg!!!!!!!!!

This is prank, you should understand it. He insisted that mgs would end and killed off snake in some way i dont know yet. He is someone who want to be in more then one project and that is understandable so please stop insisting on that there will be another mgs. Snake is old and this was his last mission, what now are you gonna take that conversation serious? If you know they are talking about this conference then why bother making big deal out of it? And announcing new game at the same day you tell everyone that the current game went gold is neither a good way to hype nor a good way to present the current game as all the attention goes away from the 4th and goes on to the fifth.

It is the end, the people that got to play throught it (like a guy from EGM, and GamePro) said it is. This can be like Kingdom Hearts' handheld games, just little extra tidbits to explain things.

If a spinoff does actually happen and you play as Raiden again, they had better cripple him somehow to force the stealth gameplay instead of him jumping around all devil may cry style in his cyborg suit !!
