From the geniuses who brought you Indigo Prophecy (known as Fahrenheit in Europe) comes Heavy Rain, an advanced new project for the PlayStation 3. The game is still shrouded in mystery, but is purported to be very impressive in several facets, including plot, graphics technology and the like. Today at Leipzig, Quantic Dream debuted the first ever trailer -- which consists entirely of gameplay footage -- for the game. The trailer has made its way onto the net, and now we proudly present the trailer for Heavy Rain:

i don't understand the hype for this it looks like another more glorified indigo prophecy? not really my type of game. maybe that's why it doesn't appeal to me.my opinion.

Wow, thats impressive. I love the QTE style games but havn't played one since Shenmue (not entirely QTE but those were the best parts.)

omg this game is amazing the animations are just wow plus the gameplay looks really fun i like the contextual button presses it looks like you will have choices of what buttons you can press and they will have different outcomes depending on what you choose this game looks amazing

I cant see the fun in a timed button sequences as the main style of play, its a fun distraction in some action games and now that we know what the gameplay will be its no surprise the graphics are high end.

Kind of remind me of shenmue. If you never played shenmue then you miss one of the best games of all time. I would love if it would come to ps3, but I know it won't

The developer said in interveiws that he dosent want to constantly use the same type of game play so the putton presses work this way for this scene but other scenes may have different types of input. The reason for the QTE gameplay is so they can present the story as realistically as possible.

psn id: gingo.... looks amazing and if they limit the quick time button presses to intense scenes the interaction will be briilant

looks awesome, but the timed button pushing thing will frustrate me. i hope that its not used for every action sequence in the game.  I WANT TO MOVE THE CHARACTER!!

The atmosphere from this game will be chilling and amazing.. since how it sorta haves the similiar elements taken from fahrenheit/indigo prophecy. especially how u can open a door fast or slow giving the gamer a chance to be brave or in fear.
