LightBox Interactive working on Warhawk-like title?

Considering LightBox Interactive was just announced as a new development studio today, Dylan Jobe is hard at work already. According to recent rumors swirling out of Kotaku, Jobe and his former staff from Incognito Entertainment have been hard at work in developing a Sony exclusive title that is being dubbed "Warhawk in Space."

While there is obviously no official confirmation on what the title will include or specifically be, Jobe did indulge a minor teaser quote for fans eagerly awaiting the next project from the Warhawk's specialist.

"We're incredibly happy to continue working with Sony Computer Entertainment America and World Wide Studios. We've got a great relationship with them and I'm really proud of our new partnership. With regard to the inevitable "What are you guys working on?"... It's way too early to comment on anything but I can say that we have some really exciting stuff in development that our Warhawk fans *and* new players will love."

Considering what this team of creators were able to achieve through expansions in order to prolong the life of the popular PlayStation title, Warhawk, we're more than excited to see where this leads.

    i have never played Warhawk, but maybe this "Warhawk in space" would get me interested.

    Sweet deal just not sure how I like the space part though..... Dylan please don't screw up Warhawk.......PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

    Can't say that I was a fan of Warhawk, not really my type of game. This is good news for all those people who are fans of this genre though :D

    OMG this what I wanted... this might be the closest thing to a Colony Wars online type of game... its probebly going to be like SW Battlefront 2 where you can land inside big ships and fight inside....... THANK GOD for this.... I still am looking forward to a Warhawk sequal as well...its probebly going to be developed by the remainding members at Incognito...

    I only got broadband in about a month ago and i love the warhawk demo and will probably pick up a copy soon so this is nice to know, could be a cracker of a game

    I played the demo and thought it was great, but online-only isn't my thing. It's enjoyable for a bit, but I'm not really all that good enough to warrant a purchase. Good news though. Go LightBox!

    Something I've noticed. In regards to once Sony owned studios or people who worked in those - there's always high respect for the company, the time spent working for them and so on. You don't read as much of that from other companies.

    dude a warhawk 2 like game will be so great i still play warhawk (just fin a game) i hope we can get some kinda teaser in this years E3 conference.

    warhawk was and still is super fun to bad there are to many other games out there that i wana play so i dont play it as much anymore

    Interesting that another developer has seperated from Sony and made their own studio. It must be the best way to make money:)

    sounds like a good game... hopefully they learned from their mistakes and will actually include an offline mode in this one

    I would rather hear that Warhawk 2 is being worked on, but since this is one of the main people behind the original Warhawk I'm excited by the idea of Wahawk in space.

    sounds like it will be a lot like Battlefront.

    but if it's exactly like warhawk, but in space, then count me the heck in!
