LittleBigPlanet patch coming "soon"

We’re sure many of you have noticed by now that the Play. Create. Share. feature in LittleBigPlanet has remained in a deactivated state since the game’s release last month. Understandably, punters are starting to get a little miffed over the subject, prompting this thread over on Sony’s official European messageboard.
According to Media Molecule's Community Manager, Sam_Protagonist, this and several other online features have yet to be activated due to stability issues. We've included his exact quote below.
"It's not exactly broken, but it is deactivated at present.”
”Until we're happy with server performance we've switched off a few online features, Play Create Share scoring being one, in order to help the service to remain stable. The good news is that we're not far from reaching stability, so expect this to return soon. As soon as there's an exact date for its return I'll let you know."
In a gaming environment that revolves around the idea of a vast community, it's quite disappointing to see that certain online features promised with the release of the game are still yet to be activated. While we’ve thoroughly enjoyed LittleBigPlanet here at PlayStation Universe, the server stability shouldn't be an issue considering the amount of copies the game has sold thus far.
Sam_Protagonist does say that the team is close to having a stable community, but the title has been out for over a month now in North America. This is something that should have been rectified quickly.
We're probably not alone, but it's frustrating to watch developers release a product with the hopes of fixing issues as they go via patches. While patches serve as a great feature for gamers across the board, at what cost are they costing us truly finished titles on release day?

So PSU is upset about a lack of speedy support for this game... but not a peep about the terrible support for Far Cry 2.... a game that STILL doesn't have a single patch to fix real multiplayer problems. The game is a mess online.

Oh well, i just sold the game today. In my opinion, it boring real fast and I didn't want to wait for everything to be sorted out.

The game does get boring to the unpatient or uncreative. but the things you can do is insane, i hearted this jp person and i only played two of his levels, one being a tetris game which is really difficult but very creative. and the other is some sort of gladius game where the whole level pretty much is you controlling a ship in a 2d side scroller shooting enemies. now if only i had more than an hour a day to play then maybe i could work on my own level, but ohwell.

I think we shouldn't brat out about Little Big Planet, especially with other games so screwed up that they are deemed "terrible."

Hold the phone Tyrone! Little Big Planet is more polished with less issues than 95% of the games they are putting out now. Now I agree that it would be good for these issues to be fixed in the game, but why don't people call shenanigans on all the other games that have been coming out? This game isn't what has been normalizing deviance, it was the bunches of titles that preceeded it.

I wish it would fix lag issues, I have to spend 30 minutes trying to join peoples games because it times out after it loads the other players, I get to see thing in their pod running around but 9 times out of 10 my character dosent show up and eventually it says it could load the other player profiles... EVEN though I just spent 10 seconds watching them beat each other up while I wait for my character to appear on screen!
I'm not to worried about the P/C/S score, the hearting and tropies work so there's not much of a problem, heck I didnt even know it was SUPPOSED to do anything untill now.

I really don't see why there is so much lag in this game. Come on now, there are games out there that are more graphically complex and they don't lag hardly ever. There really isn't a good excuse for this BS. No reason for this game to lag so bad. I personally haven't seen lag this bad EVER and I'm serious. Are they loading everyone on one tiny server or something? this is just horrible and hopefully they fix this problem within a week. Good job MM, good way to mess up an awesome game.
