MGS4 'Greatest Hits' released, SCENE pack gets more content

We recently noted that Konami promised a new Metal Gear announcement each day of this week as a way of celebrating the first anniversary of the release of Metal Gear Solid 4.
The first news is the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4 as part of Sony’s Greatest Hits collection. The Greatest Hits edition of MGS4 just shipped to retail stores across the nation, and you can get it for just $29.99 USD.

The second announcement is the release of new DLC for Metal Gear Online's SCENE pack. Those who have already downloaded the SCENE pack will have free access to a new map, character, and reward mode.
The new map, Icebound Inferno, is very similar to the “Shadow Moses” map from the first Metal Gear Solid. It’s a medium-to-long range combat map that takes place on a snowy, cold island with various buildings.
There is also an Auto Matching Reward mode that more heavily rewards winners. In an individual match, the winner is the only one who gets rewards points, while in a team match, only the top-ranked team member will win reward points.

OMG. Radgamer420 was enough negative, "lives-to-get-under-your-skin-because-they're-bored" stupidity. Now we have you, too? I don't care about MAG, for example (not my thing), but you will never see me comment on an article about MAG, because I couldn't care less* about it. Why come here just to say you are not into Metal Gear Solid? It's idiotic, I tell you.
*Take note, the saying is "...could not care less", not "...COULD care less". Why do so many people get this wrong on message boards?

Heres my vote for trophys.
But I do think it is a difficult thing for them to do, as in resourse hours.
Its hard inplementing trophys especially in a patch and especially for such a tidy coded game. They must of tried to make a trophy patch but maybe its too difficult to impliment for THIS game? It must desrupt the game code loads for them not to of done it yet?
At the same time, KP team are a quality Production team, so if it is tricky, and if a team were to overcome it...............................KP should.
Lets hope!
P.S - Icebound Inferno is amazing, great for TDM games and stealth DM. I strongly reccomend that if you love MGO get all the packs.P.S.S - @12 I see how you think its unfair. But what if someone on the winning team didnt contribute to the win AT ALL for example 30 death 1 kill (lol). I think it fair enough they dont get rewarded as the top players do. :-)

I have to side with marcracoon as well. Trophies are nice of course, but an amazing game with new maps for online and a great price that actually fits into my budget, I am stoked

Again I understand. It seems a tricky subject. They must of discussed this and both our points must of been brought up. So im guessin this was their overall outcome for only top players to be rewarded.
But yea I understand for someone who really trys hard but dont do well.
I guess practise should be rewarded too hehe! -

@10 amen bro. You always post good stuff and even if I don't agree with you sometimes your opinions have good fundamentals. Posting just to say "meh I don't like this <insert>, it sucks." is a waste of time and bytes. Doing it a couple of times is OK, we all get bored from time to time; but radgamer and now this guy are just too consistently idiotic doing it over and over.
PS My pet peeve is all the gramtically challenged people that keep writting "loose" meaning lose as in not winning. I even saw an AP article with the incorrect grammar the other day!

I love the way you spelt gramatically wrong. I know what you mean about people not being to make a coherent sentence, though, I just wish that more people in this world were intelligent enough to understasnd basic spelling and grammar. It's the absence of commas that gets to me...
@10 AND @18
Why I would come here to say I'm not interested in MGS? Just because I'm not interested in a particular franchise, doesn't mean I'm not interested in the news it has to offer. I don't know much about Radgamer, but in no way have I ever been consistently idiotic in stating my own opinion. It's idiotic to think so. A comments section is designed to inform others of our views and opinions. Many articles often end with "Post your opinions in the comments section.", not "Post your opinions in the comments section - but only if it's a good opinion!" You may think it's idiotic posting a negative comment in a comments section, but what really is is when you see a whole page of comments of everyone saying the exact same "This game is great!". I'm just afraid that in my views, I don't agree with this opinion, which is why I posted to get my views heard. O_G_H, I've read many of your comments before, and you seem like an incredibly intelligent person; it just surprises me that you comment just to say that my comment's idiotic because you don't agree with it. I can understand what you're both saying, but it's just disrespectful to say such things just because we have different views.
