Mark Rein praises PS3 version of UT3

In a recent forum post by Mark Rein, Vice President of Epic Games, he states that the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is running top notch and that PlayStation 3 owners will be in for a treat.

"I was playing the PS3 build for a few hours tonight and it is really, really fantastic. Amazingly smooth and solid. I think you PS3 users are in for a huge treat with UT3," said Mark Rein.

One of the best features about the PS3 version is the ability to download user maps created via the PlayStation Network. However without the PC version, players will not have access to a level editor, and must wait for PC users to upload their maps.

In addition, Epic Games has confirmed that the PS3 version will support both a keyboard and mouse and the SIXAXIS/DualShock 3 controller.

So if you don't own a monster PC, the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is your best way to go. Stay tuned for more information.

    since i dont own a "monster" pc ill go for the ps3 version. I like console gaming better anyways. Nice to here the president of epic game praise the ps3 build.

    Isn't this the same guy that was dissing the PS3 awhile back? What a jerk. I'm glad to see kb&m support though. I might be picking this up

    when is the PS3 version coming out exactly???? There is no solid date....some say it is still coming out this fall and some say next spring... When is it coming ????

    If this game gets pushed back to early next year i won't mind because honestly with uncharted, haze, and assassin's creed only weeks away, not mention the awesomeness of ratchet and clank, i'm gonna be flat broke.

    i have a monstre PC  that can run ut3 at 1600x1200 4 AS & 8AF
    But i will get the PS3 version any way. Keybord and mose sounds coool :)

    Hehe...sounds pretty good, Hopefully my friend will get it on his PC so we can make an exciting/Fun/Hard map for everyone to play.

    No Musikguy is correct - Rein was dissing PS3 sometime back - right when MS was giving him coverage for Gears.

    never played any of the unreal tournys before, why is it so better with a mouse and keyboard then a controller? or do u just perfer it that way and would play every shooter with it?

    looks like these guys will say anything to get sales up, cause he's stating the obvious how else would a game run on ps3 blotchy and slow ?

    Ive always played UT on PC so I'll get UT3 on PC as well. Same with Call of Duty 4.
