Mercenaries 2 dated for North America, Europe

Electronic Arts announced today that Mercenaries 2: World in Flames would be released in North America on August 31, with a European release following on September 5.
Word comes from a special video message which can be viewed on the game’s official website here.
Developed by Pandemic Studios, Mercenaries 2 is the sequel to the original 2005 release, and includes a plethora of new features over its predecessor, such as fully destructible environments, improved Artificial Intelligence (AI) and full co-operative mode.
The game will be released for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.

Im so exited about this game, but i dont know how notably will be the graphical difference in split-screen considering that its a openworld game with jungles, you know what i mean, maybe the engine is awesome and only reduce the lod in a minimal way, a la warhawk.
anyway me and my brother will buy this game for sure!

Finally and maybe they will actually keep this date, i'm tired of games getting pushed back everyother day. This game will be awesome when it does come out though..

I need to play the first before I grab this one. Either way, I hope Pandemic fixed their problems from a few months back.

I'm not that excited about this game. Too many Shooters coming out this year and this one just doesn't stand out for me. I'll pass. Killzone 2 is coming out at around the same time so its gonna be crushed. (As with Resistance 2 also coming out around the same time)
