    @richkaos

    All I have to say is, if the BETA is supposed to expose flaws, the biggest flaw we will see right off the bat is the crashing of the server because everyone and their brother has been invited to this BETA.  It's going to be insane.  I mean, I don't work on Mondays (which gives me a great advantage to play on day one because that when it opens) and I don't have high hopes of getting in.

    And I don't know about the EU BETA servers, but we got the same fo rthe NA and all I did is try a few more times (Peer to Peer) and downloaded very early in the morning.  It worked.  Just keep trying.

    well you need to go and use the recommended peer to peer download as opposed to the server or http download, it took ages to get going but eventually it found about 20 hosts

    Anything less than an "M" rating would mean I'd probably just rent it.

    14 year old boy- "Mom there is this really cool game coming out and Im really looking forward to it. I saved up the money and I have a meeting to go to. Would you mind picking it up for me?"

    Mom - "Sure I guess"

    Kids aren't stupid, and most adults are cluless about MGS. Trust me, they will find a way. I know I did when I was that age. Of course the most mature game then was Mortal Kombat. Parents knew about it though.

    Give me a break, it's not like we didn't already know that MGS4 wasn't going to be rated M. Every other MGS game has been rated M and there's no reason why MGS4 would be rated anything less than rated M. There's really not too much blood in the MGS games, but it's definantly should be rated M and is for hardcore gamers only. MGS4 is less than 2 months away, I just can't wait.

    I'm pretty sure you can buy mature games if you're 17.

    Im not to sure about any thing involvling killing having auto M because of Uncharted, but as it is going the movies are getting more lenient ratings then games.

    Umm, Mature is 17+ in the US, not 18+.

    ---

    Nobody will have a hard time getting a copy of this.  Anyone who wants this game, or any game for that matter, will find a way to get it.  eBay sellers never ask for age.

    I thought it would be pretty obvious that MGS would get an M rating.  I bet Killzone 2, God of War III, and DMC5 will all be Mature too.

    The worst thing about MGS4 getting an 'M' rating for Violent content is that Hideo has a long history of using violence to tell his stories, as well as addressing the consequences of  violence (MGS3: The Sorrow, anyone?) and the negative effects of war in general.

    It's rare in MGS games that the game player is encouraged to mindlessly slaughter opponents like so many FPS do.

    Strong language? A first for this series. In the first couple MGS games the most we got was a "Damn!" Or "You Bastard!"
