Netflix streaming discs arriving tomorrow

Netflix is starting to send out emails to users notifying them that their PlayStation 3 Netflix streaming disc is set to ship today and arrive in mailboxes tomorrow. We recently learned Netflix was coming soon to the PS3, and now it appears we don’t have much longer to wait.
You can still sign up to get your free Netflix streaming disc here. An embedded solution should be available next year, which means you won’t need one of Netflix’s Blu-ray streaming discs. Until then, you’ll have to use the free disc to stream Netflix’s catalogue.

You do pay for the streaming... It is a $9 monthly service.. I already asked for my disc.. My friends have it, great service when you are traveling or at work.. I am getting the free trial first.. I want to watch the Wire!! And they also have Blu-Ray disc!!

If you have Netflix, it's so you can view the Instant Streaming videos on your PS3. It's activated through BD-Live. If you already have Netflix, then no, you don't have to pay extra for this. It's included in your monthly fee.
I'm getting my disc in tomorrow, really can't wait to be able to easily watch movies from Netflix. We have PlayOn right now, but I hate that it requires me to have to keep my PC on, thus wasting more electricity.

Awesome fantastic!
I received my email earlier today and can't wait to see how this is going to work on the PS3. I am pretty happy that it is being delivered so soon after the announcement. Now, I don't really have a reason to re-up my Live Gold subscription. Extra money in my pocket. WOOHOO

Yea I have PlayOn too, and I hate it for the same reason- the PC has to be on and it is relying on the PC Processor for consistent streaming. I hope this allows us to view HD movies form Netflix like on the 360

Well this is good for anyone who doesn't have Rogers on demand cable which allows to watch instantly what ever using your TV remote at a price but i use it so rarely and don't think i'd use Netflix more than it either, i like playing games mostly on my PS3 and on occasion watch a blu-ray movie so i don't need Netflix or really want the internet slowed up from everyone watching movies instead i'd prefer if the internet was left for computer data and gaming so we don't keep getting lagged out in our games, this is good for someone who doesn't have the money to buy a stand alone blu-ray or DVD player and doesn't have cable TV but it's not for me.

@17, I've never heard of "Rodgers" cable but I can tell you that almost all cable companies have on demand. On demand generally costs money. Netflix streaming costs nothing in addition to what you already pay for your rentals. It's an added bonus and that's way better than any on demand service from Rodgers or any other cable company.

I went ahead and put in the "order" for a disc. I have been enjoying Netflix on 360 for quite a while now but think the interface is terrible for sorting through. I'll be interested to see how it is presented on the PS3.
