Fresh info on Final Fantasy XIII has surfaced in the latest issue of Japanese publication V-Jump, focusing primarily on the mysterious blonde female depicted in the DKS3137 and E3 trailers of the console RPG.
According to a translation by the chaps at FinalFantasy-XIII.net, the female is known as Jill Nabato, and features as one of the game’s primary antagonists, commanding the unscrupulous outfit known as the Holy Army. Elsewhere, the mag also depicts Lightning’s Odin summon. Check out a scan of the article below.

Final Fantasy XIII is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the U.S. in spring 2010, with a Japanese PS3 launch scheduled for this winter.

the evil corporation- in this games case a world not a company like FFVII
the mysterious protagonist- like in most games ahah
the terrorist group- Far from terrorists like in FFVII where they going around blowing up reactors. In the demo Lightnings mission was to look for the Pulse fal'Cie and her mission is to bring the down fall of an entire world. Unlike FFVII where at the beginning they're just trying to get rid of Shinra and save the planet.
The last ones all yours :D

@13 Not trying to start an argument here, but from a writer's standpoint those modifications are slight.
Evil Inc-Evil Planet
Terrorist Group-Different Type of terrorist group
Cloud-Female Cloud (can't post it here but there is a pic circulating that slowly breaks down and shows that advent children Cloud and Lightning are practically the same drawing)
Trust me those modifications may seem drastic but they really really aren't. It's just an excuse so Square can say it's different while actually being lazy as possible from a writing standpoint.
As a writer I had to write a lot stuff in college and had I written 2 different stories with those same major plot outlines my professors would have torn me apart for it.

I'm not claiming specifics here just general outline. I'm not saying it will be exactly the same with the characters copied and pasted in the FF7 story. I recently downloaded the most recent english trailer on PSN, the one at the end where lightning goes into some mysterious place to ask for help from something the black guy called "that thing". If it's a summon I'm gonna be pissed.

@17
You can rip any game apart by simplyfying/comparing it like you are.
Uncharted 2- Man looking for a treasure, like so many previous games and Uncharted 1.
White knight- Boy wants to save a princess, that hasn't been done countless times has it?
How many games involve fighting of invading aliens in your planet?
How many games needs the world to be saved?
Small things like this dont stop a game from being phenomenal.

Ok dude, but it's far more suspect when it's a game in the same series from a company that loves piggy backing in any way on it's most popular game in that series. I've had numerous people (who aren't writers, two of them below the age of 10) that noticed it before I even said anything. The generalites you are speaking of are far more thematic. It's a bit more obvious when it's the same company feeding it to you over and over again.
