At DreamsofAnarchy.
Yes of course... Tekken is a huge series, so why wouldn't they mate? And by the way, so thanks for the update, but I think you PSU staff should make the Tekken 6 article about what Namco showed at E3 2008 about Tekken 6 very interesting, so all here will know how awesome Tekken 6 will be!

i am a big Tekken Fan & i think its the best fighting game ever ... but the right now ... i see that tekken 6 is just about better garaphics and more characters .... the series must evolve .. tekken 5 & DR was so good .... but u cant always bring tekken with more characters and better garphics + tekken force mode or/ & Bowl ... they should do somthing else to refresh the game

@ A Ninja
Which is why I asked my question. Tekken may have been hot back on the PS1 but I think it's kind of the back burner fighting game of this generation. It could be me but I've just always liked SC and DOA more so than Tekken.

@ A_Ninja
Tekken did "evolve" now it has bound and breakable stages... but it backfired with most ppl hating the new bound system... i personaly dont care if the game is more noob friendly... im gonna still play it cause i like the game...
but honestly how could they evolve tekken even further... the basic concept is there u can really evolve it.. you can add or take away stuff but it will always be the same game just with new stuff...
@ PSU staff...
kinda late with this info...

the story keeps me going back to the series, not to mention the most fleshed out combo system of any fighter. There are fighters with up to 200 different combos !
Also IWAO, they would have problems with that concidering e3 2008 hasn't been held yet.. or am i missing something ?
In either case, concidering the material, they chosen pics and video hardly do it justification.

Talk about fighters that haven't evolved. The only thing that's changed in DOA is the size of the female characters' breasts. Now Namco giving SC the same treatment. All they think people care about is eye candy these days. Which is no selling point for me. And everybody speaks japanese in DOA, even the russians, the german and the only black guy in the series. Where in Tekken everyone speaks their own language and have different styles that aren't based on flash.
You won't see guys like Bob in those fighters either. I'm saving my 60 bucks for Tekken 6...not to play Bob tho. lol

IMO TEKKEN 6 is better than SOUL CALIBER
this could just be a preference thing but im not into weapons only fighters...if its martial arts games.. isnt it suppose to use fists also as well as weapons?
tekken 6 has characters who use different fighting styles with weapons ranging from fists to shotguns
Soul caliber also has characters who use different fighting styles but only swords ...to me thats kind of restricted..
i want to be able to beat someone up with my fists also, not just swords as my main weapons and also why not put different fighting styles in like characters who do taekwondo or judo or other stuff....thats what attracts me to the Tekken series
They both have their pros and people would get either one based on their preference but to me its Tekken all tha way..more variety

@bighawke5
Honestly though, how many weapon based fighting games are there? Just a hand few if I recall and none of em really tally up to SC. I understand a fighting game is a fighting game but after a while it all gets so old with all the cliché characters. If I play as one more Bruce Lee rip off I'm going to shoot myself. Times are changing and so are games. Look at the new Street Fighter. That's a series that has kept it fresh over the years. I don't care if it's 2D why, becuase it's a fighting game, and all I care about is the fighting. SC is adding a lot to the franchise while still keeping the appeal of a weapon based fighter. I say Kudos to Tekken for still remaining true to the fans but it's time to step up or other-wise it's going to get lost in the shuffle.

@DreamsOfAnarchy point taken but how can you improve todays fighting games besides add more moves, characters, game modes etc, be honest it's the only thing they can do and I do want them to add something fresh in there to separate it from the rest of the fighting games.

the game is fun, and it feels great. the boss can be a cheap bastard tho. but it looks fantastic. as far as the film quality goes that was probably taken with a cell phone. when you think about it that way, that is good quality. cell phones are insane out here.

Wow, a giant boss unbeatable looking boss at the end of a fighting game. How original. I bet he'll be completely beatable just like all of the other ones around.
Is Tekken 6 still scheduled as a PS3 Exclusive?
As for the comments made about the series itself, I must admit that people are entitled to their opinions. However, in mine, Tekken is one of the funnest fighting series ever by popular vote, but it has not done much for the progression of the fighting game industry. It's just better graphics and more characters and more button mashing all over again. I'd take any Mortal Kombat 1- Ultimate III over Tekken. Not to mention Marvel vs. Capcom II, Virtua Fighter 4 where you actually need skill to beat a VF expert or even kick him through a fence. Killer Instinct. I mean, there have been alot of great fighting games and some quite revolutionary ones in the past to just say that any particular Tekken or the series period is the best out there. I didn't even mention Street Fighter II, Capcom vs. SNK or Street Fighter Alpha.
