Nippon Ichi has pulled the wrappers off a new 2D action-platformer for PSP, the unforgettably titled Prinny: Is It OK For Me To Be The Main Character, Dood? Little is known about the game at present, but you can check out some rather random flash footage at the official site - prinny.jp

Fans of Disgaea, of course, will recognise the Prinnies as the homicidal exploding penguins who joined demon upstart Laharl on his quest for netherworld dominance. Laharl's kooky sidekick Etna has also cropped up in screenshots.

The game looks rather lovely, blending pop-up book 2D sprites with sumptuous 3D backdrops in a manner redolent of Paper Mario. Combos appear to be a feature, but we're still waiting on specifics.

Release dates and so forth have yet to be announced, but more content will be available at the official site on September 5. Watch this space, doods!
