New PlayStation 3 TV spot

A new TV ad for the PlayStation 3 which features such titles as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and LittleBigPlanet has surfaced.
The theme behind the TV spot reminds us of an inspiring "Braveheart" speech, where the words are meant to rally everyone together and prepare for a charge on the war-torn battlefield. However, the ad opens with the saying "We few...we happy few," suggesting that there not very many PS3 owners out there, which isn't very appealing, especially if you are a gamer looking to pick up a console to play with your friends online. I think they should have stuck with the "PS3 black amoeba" ads they used to show all the features and games...perhaps with a new song attached to it and some updates.
Still, this is pretty good. Not real energetic, but good. I'm just not so sure about the opening line. Doesn't that make it sound like you'll be one of a small crowd? People in general like to be on the same side as everyone else...not the small minority. Anyway, maybe it's just me and "joe consumer" won't get the same thing out of those words.

I think it was pretty lame. When I ask my self would I want a PS3 based on that TV ad. The answer would be heell no. Personally, I liked the ad touting the cell processor capable of so much more, turning raindrops into full tropical thunderstorms, etc., etc. Whatever happened to that spot anyhow? It featured the voice of the actor that plays in all the Sci-Fi movies. (aliens vrs. Predators.) Now that ad would inspire me to want to look at the PS3 closer.

so if I buy a ps3 I can play 2 out of 3 of those games? wow. they could have inserted about 7 more exclusives.....

This is not fan-made. This is a real tv ad used by Sony. I saw it a few times while watching Raw. And the line '' We few we happy few '' could also suggest that the PS3 owners there are are satisfied with their ps3, as opposed to the legions of Xbox users are dissatisfied because many had to keep sending theirs back.

Nice ad lol amused me greatly. Still love the Universe of Entertainment spot more though.
I think "We few, we happy few" can be interpreted many ways. Mine would be that true, there aren't as many ps3 owners as the competition, but those of us who do have one are quite happy with our choice. The fact that there are fewer of us now, though I'm sure that'll change, would just make us all more tight knit I would think.
