OMG...Dec 31 is so damn close...!!! I've been waiting for this game for years it feels like! So it's settled ...when someone here or there pisses me off i can challenge them in the octagon baby!!!!!!!!

@ d_dogg.... Fight night only shows top half of the body and is a good looking game.  If this game is full body fighting and the animations and gameplay is good.  I'd take that thanks.

@3 you obviously have no idea how much more complex it would be to program an MMA game versus a boxing game.  in boxing there are only so many types of punches and blocks... jab, uppercut, hook, etc.  in MMA you've got all kinds of grappling techniques and submission holds you have to program not to mention kicks, punches, knees, and elbows.  i own fight night round 3 and these screens look quite a bit better than the faded out graphics of FNR3.  if the graphics happen to suffer a bit (which they don't appear to) it's only because the gameplay is so complex.

Hopefully it's more than pretty. I was interested in the TNA game because it looked so nice.. then it turned out to be a loosly put together game - which is sad.

did you guys see the video of a full match between forrest griffen and rampage jackson ..????? if you did then you would know this is going to be a HUGE GAME!!!

It's completely different from boxing...try watch both and you'll relize!

 Looks very good, the likenesses are spot-on.  It's too bad though that Dana White's firing fighters over the contract issues with the game.

is the december 31st release date an error???  it was supposed to be released in the spring of '09.  i just tried to look up the release date and every date i see is either tba, 2009, spring of '09, or may.  this is the only place that says it's going to come out on december 31st.

jsut watched the video on here and im frigging FLOOOORED. Finally a fighting game that has gottenr id of the clipping issues! also looks liek Euphorias in there possible, either way, looks HYPER real, and even better each hit feels damaging!

 

the skin even girates a bit on impacts, thats AMAZING

I cant find this release date anywhere on the onternet, it's still Q1 2009, where did you get this date from? Reliable source? Not even the developers/puplishers have announced a date yet.. but you guys have? Source please or it's BS.

SINGLE PLAYER????? dissapointing... no split screen or online? ouch... Graphics outstanding yes, I think for fighting games split screen is a must.  Since I am a huge MMA fan I will probably buy it anyways but they really need to consider multiplayer capabilities.  May 19th by the way.
