Sadly it looks like the graphics haven't advanced much since the PS2 games. The pre-rendered cutscenes look beautiful, but the iingame scenes, the ones you'll be seeing the most, feature dead emotionless zombies and stif animations. Tjey really should have advanced a bit more since the last game. Game playwise it seems like a solid slash'em up but at this point there are a tone of games that totally eclipse it so I'll probably have to pass.

A shame, they know what it takes to make the story involving but they dont manage to put that thought into the rest of the presentation.

Come on guys!  Its not metal Gear or FF, its not going to be stunning looking,  Im so sick of ppl saying sorry graphics arnt good enough.  I play a game based on if its fun.  I can still play PS1 games that were fun as he ll, but the graphics are crap now.  Stop expecting everyone to do the best graphics possible.  Smaller companies cant afford to do that, when they try they have to dump off story or features to make up for it.  This is why gam,es are getting crappy you people need to enjoy the game not just the look.

    @ 8

Stop your blodclot-cryin'...GRAPHICS are a big part of gaming, period...some of us can't properly enjoy a game that looks like crap...part of the next-gen consoles being NEXT-GEN CONSOLES is that they now have the power to handle unbelievably stunning graphics and physics calculations, why let all that go to waste?...go get a Wii...

It's not that the graphics are bad. The character models look really nice but come on, look at the smothness of the prerendered stuff in the trailer. the ingame stuff dosent even look HALF that good and it dosent take much to actually do that, it feels like they didnt try, and in a game like this you want the cinemas to be strong to help propell the plot which is the strength of the franchise.

Graphics arn't everything but when you can see the lack of effort in improving that part of the game it's hard to justify paying 60 friggin bucks for that.

Considering this is a video posted to the internet and how that tends to make things look worse than they really do... I think the quality of the graphics looks decent for the PS3. I'll pick it up.

wow dude are you like 12?  I love the all the WoS games, they are fun maybenot as deep as id like but fun, and yes part of next gen is graphics, if thats all you care about good for you, all i was saying is dont come on here bashing a game cuz you dont feel it looks good enough, that is your opinion, obviously your 12 and have to yell and say things like "get a wii"  but lets go your way and say graphics graphics graphics, then we can all play games with shallow stories horribkle game play, but atleast it looks pretty, if all i want is somthing to look at I watch a movie.  SO go watch bluray Dora the Explorer or whatever you kids like.

if a company can't afford to reveal next gen graphics then they should use a different approach.(simpler graphics that look just as good) It shows lack of effort. Plus this company has had previous prosperous games and they could easily have gotten support from a bigger comapany. But people are greedy. Either way i know my friend would love this is so i might be picking it up. Whenever, if ever it comes out in the US

I have the first two,so it's only natural I pick up this iteration. Hopefully there is two player battle like the first game. The character models in this version definitely look better than previous ones. It's good to see the 'sword skills' tree intact as well as the ability to overheat and break your sword, which occurs when you strike a blocking opponent's sword too many times without giving it time to cool down. I am looking forward to this title for the gameplay only.
