Heavenly Sword creator Ninja Theory has posted an update on its official website today, revealing a few interesting tidbits of information regarding the studios next project.
Although the prospect of a sequel to Heavenly Sword has been the topic of hot debate for some time now (given the developer’s interest of turning the action adventure into a full blown trilogy), nothing has been confirmed for certain at present.
Likewise, the statement below, while alluding to a sequel in some respects, doesn’t outright confirm its development. Nonetheless, it offers an interesting insight in regards to what the team have up their sleeves.
"Right now we're working on an exciting new concept that has got everyone we talk to buzzing," it reads.
"We can't say a lot except that it's going to be great to work on and should be even better to play! It'll take all the things we loved about Heavenly Sword and make them bigger and better than ever before."
"There are some teaser elements on this new look website," which can be found here.
Stay tuned for more developments on Ninja Theory’s upcoming projects as soon as they are available.

I would like faster gameplay, and maybe some bonus missions after you beat it. It was very fun using the sixaxix, but it was too short.

The screens at the top of the page suggest something futuristic or apocalyptic. I really have high hopes for this studio. Bar the length of Heavenly sword, it was a very solid game. :)

The thing with Heavenly Sword is it was a great game if they just fixed a few problems. I didnt like the idea of mixing up a really serious plot with zanny humour. It had its charm but if they had stuck to plain simple, evil and serious then it would have made the experience better. And they reeeally need to make the next one longer cause although Heavenly Sword was a great game and had quite a bit of replay value, it just simply wasnt long enough. 4-5 hours is rediculous, even if the game is meant to be an epic from start to finish.

Use everything they loved about HS and make them better? If that's not a sequel, I don't know what is.
