Bethesda’s Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 will not include Trophy support when the game hits stores later this year, but did not rule out the possibility of the feature being added at a later date.
"Not at launch," said Hines, during an interview with PSU.com to be published later today.
"It remains to be seen what we do down the road. It wasn't something we were able to incorporate into the game for launch."

With Fallout 3 set to release on October 28 in the U.S., Bethesda will have a few options in terms of additional PlayStation 3 support, as Sony's PlayStation Home service is set to launch around the same time frame.
Stay tuned for our full interview with Hines later today.

The game looked incredibly buggy at E3 anyway, not going to get it..unless it gets brilliant reviews

What ever happened to playing a game for the game itself. Is 100 plus hours of things to do not good enough these days. It's bad enough every game is going online only multiplayer or online only coop, now you can't play games for the fun of it because you have to achieve some stupid goal to get a trophy. WTF happened to the good old days of gaming. Man I'm getting to old for this s***!

this game is gonna rock but for a game of this length adding trophies later on will suck , unless they're retrospective which i doubt they will be

@ 8- Adding trophies adds enormous amounts of replayability to games. Without trophies, i wouldn't have gone back and beaten Uncharted 3 times after i'd already beaten it once last year. Some people love trophies and some people don't, but you don't have to b**ch about them because they aren't your thing. Just play the game. It doesn't affect your gameplay experience at all if a game supports trophies. Whatever happened to the good ol' days where people wouldn't go online and complain about additional features being added to games to make them more appeling to some people??
As for me Fallout 3, I will buy this game for sure but not right away. I'll be too busy with other quality games that are getting released around the same time. I'm sure by the time I pick it up Bethesda will have taken the necessary steps to implement trophies into the game which will make me a very happy gamer.

Kinda makes me wish Sony pulled a MS and made it mandatory to put in these sort of things, buuut that would take away from their free & open ideal

@ 3 :
why would you base your purchase of a game on whether or not it supports something which at this point serves absolutely no purpose

Ah crap why does everything have to fall on oct with lbp, dead space, bioshock, far cry 2, falllout 3, socom + headset. My bank account will have a gaping hole.
Lol hmm either that or il just settle with LBP + the headset for a while.
Good to hear these games are gettingt patched now, but trophies don't make me want to buy a game off the shelf.

ryesher don't buy them all at once. You won't even be able to focus on all those games at the same time. Just get LBP first than when your done with that buy the others when they get a possible price drop at the time. ;)

Well tbh i cant see it happening. they didnt even bother to include the plugins for oblivion on/for ps3 so i cant see why they would do this. their priorities seem to lie with MS/xbox with that kinda stuff, although im sure they'll put out a decent game for both consoles. I hope im wrong lol

Nooooo way lol am I buying all them at once lol, that was more of a list of games im interested in I will just settle for the one.
I have a friend who buys everygame more or less that comes out and then never plays them what a waste.
No I hear you, just little big planet for now... possibly forever lol... well that and maybe dead space as well lol.
The others can wait but LBP is a day one purchase.

@25 im with you all the way on that comment. I think that the xbox is just trying to come up with anything to get them back into the market. Yeah they had it before but now they are just pushing it cause they have nothing left. And about the whole trophy support...its dumb if you get mad cause a game doesnt have them. If you get the game, get it for the gameplay or cause you like it. Not cause you wanna feel like the king of losers with no life cause you have all your trophies to show for it...which really mean, look how much of my life that I have wasted playing a video game.

Trophies don't really mean much to me, but it is kind of sad that they support achivements on the 360 but not the PS3 equiv. How hard can it be? It kind of sounds like they don't really care if we get the same experience on the PS3... and I wonder what other corners they might have cut.

@12- If trophies are for replayability then why not beat it without trophy support then go back and beat it when the patch comes out. voilla!!! youve already played it twice!
AS for me trophies or no trophies, doesnt matter as long as its a good game.
